the right candidate for a job. Recruiting techniques differ from company to company but the
core process remains same. By implementing effective recruiting techniques, a company can
easily attract the candidates and can be easily integrated in the company.
Trilogy Enterprises Inc., is a fast-growing software company, and provides software solutions
to giant global firms for improving sales and performance. The company has unique culture
giving liberty to the employees which results in high productive work. Its approach for
recruiting talents are also very unusual. They are very effective in recruiting young talents.
Trilogy Enterprises Inc. visit college to college doing campaigns attending college fairs and
computer science department attracting the candidates who are talented and over achievers
with ambition and entrepreneurial instincts. Similarly visiting campuses and taking
interviews (over 4000 in a year). After that they are reviewing the resume (1500 in a year).
Top managers take the interviews letting the prospects know that they can be pushed their
limits. After screening process through interview select few are chosen to travel to Austin.
Employees take top recruits and their significant others for a 3-day preliminary visit and they
are interviewed. After the interview, they would set up activities such as mountain biking,

would it take for you to accept a job offer from Trilogy? Critically analyze it.
Answer:
Trilogy has a unique and unorthodox organizational culture. It has impartial and effective
human resource management which recruits the highly qualified person. It has a very good
image.
Trilogy would be appealing for me because the company has a different culture that may
appeal to the young person. They have no dress codes and there are no time restrictions. We
can make our schedule in the office but have to complete the work on time which is very
exciting for me. The people in the organization are very social and socialize together in the
office's well-stocked kitchen. There are company-sponsored events and trips to places like
local dance clubs and retreats in Las Vegas and Hawaii which may break the monotonous
effect of the work.
There is a huge responsibility in the organization which makes the person grow in their field.
An in-house jargon has developed in the organization. The employees have a sense of
cooperation and kinship with fellow workers and it may increase the team spirit. They
provide intensive training for the newcomers and people can have many training sessions as
per their demand. The person who is very passionate about the work can thrive in the
company. The working environment is fantastic for the employees, they can easily do their
job with full satisfaction.
I would love to work in the company due to the given responsibility and pieces of training
which make personal growth as well. They always find the right person for the right position,
focuses on the staff functioning, and the fantastic environment for the employee that they can
easily perform their best effort. The company acknowledges the work of the people and

implemented the human resource function such as planning, organizing, staffing, controlling,
and leading to achieve the organizational goals.

of human resource management has been dealing with is planning, organizing, staffing,
controlling, leading, and especially the case is focused on recruitment. They have been going

not only because of its organizational culture but also of its unique and intensive recruitment
process.
Recruitment is given the greatest importance. Trilogy enterprise spends a large sum of money
in the recruitment process. They spend $1300 per hire, which is a huge sum of money. They
recruit the fresher but highly talented over-achievers with ambition and entrepreneurial
instincts. They are pretty much selective out of 14000 people, only 262 college graduates are
selected. The steps they use while recruitment is sourcing, receiving applications, screening
of applications, interviewing, and selecting.
The recruitment policy of the Trilogy is very productive and effective. But still, there can be
made amendments in that policy. The company can reduce the cost of recruiting candidates.
The money spent is well spent on them due to the quality people added in the organization
but the cost can be reduced as well. They can hire experienced people and more diversified
people which may contribute to the team spirit. The experienced people may not need pieces
of training which may reduce the cost of hiring. They can also use social media and internets
which may have a greater chance of having quality candidates. The organization may not
have enough time to go to all the colleges and computer departments. The company can also
use internal recruiting sources, like- rehiring, job posting, giving promotions. That also gives
motivation working towards the future. The top manager goes to take the interview in the
colleges. The human resource department should handle these things rather than giving a hard
time to the managers. They could easily handle the job and reduce the workload to the
mangers as well.
Hence, Trilogy can reduce the cost per hiring the person. They could use the external source
of hiring using social media platforms and the internet which may attract a large number of
