Motivation Letter
While I may not possess direct experience in DRM, I firmly believe that my background as a
software engineer equips me with the necessary problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and
technical expertise required for addressing complex challenges in disaster risk management. My
passion for leveraging technology to drive social change has motivated me to explore
opportunities where I can apply my skills in a humanitarian context, and the USAID Response
Leadership Activity Fellowship Program aligns perfectly with my aspirations.
Moreover, I am a team player, and I believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge
sharing. I am confident that my ability to work effectively in diverse and multicultural teams will
enable me to contribute positively to the fellowship program. I am excited about the opportunity
to learn from experienced professionals in the field, exchange ideas, and collectively develop
sustainable DRM strategies that align with the needs of Ethiopian communities.
By participating in the USAID Response Leadership Activity Fellowship Program, I hope to gain
valuable insights into the field of DRM and develop a comprehensive understanding of the
challenges and opportunities it presents. I am committed to utilizing this knowledge to contribute
to future projects aimed at building resilience in disaster-prone regions around the world.
I am highly motivated and eager to embrace this unique opportunity to make a meaningful
impact through the USAID Response Leadership Activity Fellowship Program. I am excited
about the possibility of joining the program and working alongside like-minded individuals
dedicated to making a difference in disaster risk management.
Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my
skills and enthusiasm align with the program's goals in further detail. I look forward to the
chance of contributing to the USAID Response Leadership Activity Fellowship Program and
working towards enhancing disaster risk management in Ethiopia.
Yours sincerely,
Anwar Ahmed
