CONCEPT BOARD

MOOD BOARDS
ROUGH SKETCHES
We mixed headgear from Italy, Greece, and
Thailand. Traditional Thai headgear, such as
the "Phaeng Mai," represents cultural heritage
and respect for the monarchy.

The Italian word "Biretta" denotes clergy


status. The Greek word "Krobylo" represents
the historical influence of Mediterranean
culture.

Then we took the shape of lotus petals for


the upper torso and the sleeve got inspired
from drapery of Greece, and exactly on the
torso we took the inspiration from
Khatamkari art of Iran Starting at the hip
region, we made a skirt-like structure formed
from Manipuri dance form of Manipur and
then we have a skirt that falls down silhouette
taken from Chinese wedding panel dress with
three slits and it continues down as a train, for
the dramatic creation we took Thailand's
traditional khon dance form for nails.

Queen of Vitality.
The head accessory and mask is inspired by
the Chinese opera makeup.

The neckline was inspired by traditional


Italian dress which signifies regional identity
and social status, showcasing diversity
within the nation's rich cultural tapestry,
including prints from Tanjore painting
famous art form of Tamil Nadu for its
intricate details, vivid colors, and religious
themes that embody South Indian art and
devotion and patterns from Uzbekistan.

Then we used a woven basket from Somania


as a corset silhouette on the torso and added
salanga (ghungroo) to the bottom, further
going to Indian sari drapes attached to
Thailand's khon dance inspired four finger
attachment.

The Actress.
This outfit combines a variety of cultural
elements to create a tapestry of influences from
around the world.

The headdress combines traditional headwear


with architectural marvels, paying homage to the
Taj Mahal and Uzbekistan's duppi. The hand
gloves add whimsy to the ensemble by drawing
inspiration from Italian carnival aesthetics. The
corset combines South Indian creativity with
Central Asian design, drawing inspiration from
Uzbekistan's architecture and reflecting the
elaborate patterns seen in Tanjore paintings.
Moving down, the outfit harmonizes the
symphony of civilizations by drawing inspiration
from Italian musical instruments. The trousers
culminate a cross-border sartorial trip that
honors the vast diversity of international
workmanship and innovation by echoing the flair
of Patiala pants.

The Bard.
The headgear is inspired from the Italian hats,
and the veil on the face is taken from Manipuri
dance of Manipur representing folklore and
nature's interconnectedness, embodying the
cultural and ecological importance of aquatic
life in the region.

To create a the feminine aspects of delicate but


sturdy we took coin jewelry of Turkey and
created the upper torso. Kimono sleeves from
China were used on the sleeves, which combine
traditional elegance with contemporary
fashion, reflecting cultural appreciation for
harmony, grace, and timeless beauty.

The layered gown is inspired by the Karnay


instrument silhouette from Uzbekistan.
Thailand's traditional khon dance form for
nails.

Nightingale.
The head gear is designed from Greek
architecture and crowns conveying the presence
of authority. Further extending to prominent
shoulders and fading to the tough of elegance
with the long sleeves inspired from the
traditional attire of China.

The torso and train is inspired from Uzbekistan


with the silhouette from Chinese Qipao. The
structured element is taken to represent the
structure of a bird indicating a Peacock, the
national bird of India.

The Scholar.
This unique ensemble seamlessly weaves together
cultural influences creating a harmonious fusion of
diverse traditions. The headgear, drawing inspiration
from both traditional Arunachal Pradesh jewellery
and Italian hats serves as a striking focal point.

The elevated shoulder design is inspired from


Thailand’s traditional attire, adding a touch of grace
and drama. The waistband, borrowing elements from
Chinese robes, accentuates the ensemble's cultural
tapestry.

Finally, the structured bottom takes cues from


Somalia’s pottery completing a truly global and
artfully crafted garment that celebrates the rich
heritage of these distinct cultures.

Enchantress.
The male garment is designed to represent the
instinct of protection to all the previous garments of
the queens. Headpiece inspired from the Dragon
dance of China, the neck and shoulder inspired from
Iran and Thailand male dance costume.

The bottom silhouette is a combination of Indian


Lungi drapery, mix with Patiala pants, and the tail
from Chinese traditional garment.
