Scholarship Agreement - v10
This Boating IT support Course Scholarship Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into on [Date], (the
"Effective Date"), by and between:

1. Context
1.1. WHEREAS, the Company has agreed to provide financial assistance to the Employee to
attend a boating course (the "Course"), and support for the Employee's living expenses
during the course.
1.2. WHEREAS, in consideration of this financial support, the Employee agrees to work for the
Company for a minimum period as specified in this Agreement.
1.3. WHEREAS, this project has risks associated with it, and it is adventurous in its nature, and in
such a project it is difficult to accurately estimate the future outcome of the adventure.
1.4. NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows:
4. Work Commitment
4.1. The Employee agrees to work for the Company according to a separate contract.
4.2. The expected outcome of the course is that the Employee gets passing grade, and a
certificate or other evidence that the course has been successfully completed. This evidence
should be sent directly from the course provider, to the Company.
4.3. This Agreement does not imply that taking this job ensures long-term job security. Job
security is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to job skills, work attitude,
and the success of the Company.
5. Compensation Clause
5.1. In the event the Employee terminates the course before completion, the Employee shall be
liable to reimburse the Company for the loss of time for an amount of the Course and living
expenses as follows:
5.1.1.If the Employee terminates the course after the Company has arranged payment, and
funds are lost, then 200% of the Course and living expenses shall be compensated back
to the Company.
5.1.2.If the Employee terminates before the course have been paid, and no funds are lost,
then no compensation to the Company is required.
5.2. The compensation shall be paid to the Company within 30 days from the Employee's
termination date.
6.1. The Employee agrees to abide by any confidentiality and non-compete agreements as
specified in the Company's employment contract.
7. Partial Agreement
7.1. This Agreement constitutes a part of the total agreement between the Parties and must be
seen in context with other relevant documents.
8. Governing Law
8.1. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of relevant
jurisdictions, as well as that of Upwork.
9. Signature
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties hereto have executed this Boating Course Scholarship Agreement
as of the Effective Date.
