In pursuance of the Govt. letter No E-225755/184 dated 12/09/2023 received from the
Department of School Education, Janata Bhawan, Dispur, Guwahati-06 application in standard form as
published in Assam Gazette in part IX are hereby invited from the intending eligible candidates who are
citizens of India as defined in Article 5 & 8 of the Constitution of India having registration number in
employment exchange in the State of Assam for filling up of newly created post of Grade-III & IV in office of the
Principal, Tangani Tea Estate Model School

1. Terms & conditions:-

The applicants should not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 yrs age on 01-11-2023.
The upper age limit for OBC/MOBC is 43 Yrs. SC/ST is 45 years, Ex-serviceman is 42 yrs. Person
with disabilities up to 50 years as per existing Govt. norms. The age limit of the candidates will be
calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC/Admit card/ Certificate issued by a recognized
Board/Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu of thereof.

2. Education Qualification :

a. The minimum educational qualification of the candidate for the post of Grade-III shall be Graduate in
any discipline from a recognized State/ Central University or any examination declared by the
competent authority equivalent thereto. The candidates must prossess minimum of 6 month
diploma/certificate in computer application from a Recognized Institute. They must have proficiency in
basic computer application like MS Windows, Excel, Linux, Power point, DTP(Assamese/English)
spreadsheet, presentation of graphics, concept of database, word processor and internet processing
etc.
b. The minimum educational qualification of the candidate for the post of Grade -IV shall be VIII passed.

4. (i) Applicants must upload their application on online mode through email address :-dcdarrang@

ii. Applicants for the post of Grade-III must upload the relevant documents as such copy of admit card,
pass certificate, mark sheet of HSLC examination, Degree or other equivalent examination( self
attested), computer proficiency certificate, valid registration certificate of employment exchange, caste
certificate, caste certificate , Income and Asset certificate of the family issued by the concerned
Revenue Circle in case of candidates want to avail the benefit of reservation under EWS & valid
Mobile Number for further communication as an when required
iii. Application for the post of Grade-IV need to upload the relevant documents such as VIII standard
passed certificate, valid registration certificate of employment exchange, caste certificate, , Income &
Asset certificate of the family issued by concerned Revenue Circle in case of candidates want to avail
the benefit of reservation under EWS & valid Mobile Number for further communication as an when
required
iv. Candidate already in Government Service should apply through proper channel

v. Candidates, whose applications are accepted as per eligibility criteria, will be required to appear in a
written examination to be followed by computer test of qualified candidates only.
vi. Candidates shall have to exercise their choice of language i.e. either
Assamese/Bodo/Bengali/Alternative English at the time of submission of application itself and once
choice exercise shall be final.

5. The selection committee shall have the right to accept or reject the candidature after proper scrutiny of
the documents /testimonials etc, with regards to the modalities of selection. The decision of the
selection committee shall be final and binding.
6. The selection will be done strictly on merit basis and selection committee constituted for this purpose
will prepare the select list adhering to the rules and procedures as laid down by the Govt.
7. The appointment will be made after necessary police verification, medical examination and documents
verification as per procedure.
8. The selected candidates will have to submit an Undertaking to the appropriate authority that they will
abide by New Pension Rules of the Govt. issued vide Finance Deptt’s . Letter No OM.No- DW.3/03/Pt-
1/1 dated 25/01/2005
9. Online submission of application will be from 28-11-2023 to 13-12-2023
10. Mode of Selection
The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in an objective type written
test to be held in the District Head Quarter, Darrang on date to be notified later on through News Papers &
Darrang district website (WWW.darrang.gov.in). The syllabus of the objective type written test will be as
follows:-
Part-I

11. The qualifying marks shall be 50% for unreserved candidates and 40% for reserved candidates
12. Part-II
Computer Test-50 Marks for the candidates, the candidates four times the number of vacancies of
each categories on the basis of the marks obtained in the part-I examination
Note:- (i) The candidates must have secured at least 20 marks in the practical test. The candidates
securing less than 20 marks shall not be considered for final list.
(ii) On the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in both part-I and part-II examination, a
select list which shall contain the names of the selected candidates in order of merit equal to the
number of vacant posts notified at the time of calling for application in connection with the filling up the
posts.

13. Criteria for selection of Grade-IV (Multi tasking Staff):

a. Written Test for 50 marks as follows:-

b. Test on language 30 marks( Assamese Language in respect of the Assamese medium School Bengali
language, Bengali medium School, Bodo Language in respect of Bodo medium School, English
language in respect of English medium School
c. Test on General Knowledge -20 marks( General Knowledge shall comprise Assam, history, geography
and culture of Assam)

i. On the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates, a select list which shall contain the names of the
selected candidates in order of merit equal to the number of vacant posts notified at the time of calling
for application in connection with the filling up the posts
ii. Canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify a candidate
iii. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the written test / computer proficiency test

iv. The undersigned reserves the right to cancel the advertisement, alter any terms and condition of the
advertisement at any stage without assigning any reason thereof.
