Machine Learning (ML)
A way for computers to learn and
improve from experience without being
explicitly programmed for specific
tasks.

Like learning to cook better over time by trying

different recipes and techniques.
Deep Learning
A more advanced form of machine
learning that uses layers of algorithms
to understand complex patterns.
Similar to how a person goes deeper into a
subject, uncovering and understanding more
intricate details.
Natural Language
Processing (NLP)
Technology that helps computers
understand, interpret, and respond to
human language.

Similar to someone learning to understand and

speak a new language fluently.
Neural Networks
A structure in AI designed to mimic the
human brain, helping computers
recognize patterns and make decisions.
Like a team working together, where each
member contributes to solving a problem.
Generative Adversarial
Network (GAN)
Two neural networks competing against
each other, improving each other's
performance.

Like two chefs competing to create better

dishes, learning from each other's techniques.
Prompts
Specific questions or statements
designed to guide the AI's responses.
Like asking a focused question in a conversation
to guide the direction of the discussion.
Prompt Engineering
The art of crafting effective prompts or
questions to get the best possible
responses from an AI.
Like formulating the right question to get the
most informative answer in a quiz.
Inputs
What you provide to the AI model, like
questions or statements.
Comparable to the information you give during a
conversation, prompting a response.
Outputs
The responses or information the AI
model generates.
Similar to the answers or comments you get from
someone in a conversation.
Context Window
The amount of information or text the
AI model can consider at one time while
responding.
Like remembering only the last few sentences of
a conversation to make a relevant reply.
Parameter Tuning
Fine-tuning the AI’s settings to make it
respond better.

It's like fine-tuning a car's engine for better

performance. You tweak various components
(parameters) to make the car run smoother and
faster.
Tokens
The basic units of text, like words or
parts of words, that the model
processes.
Think of tokens as puzzle pieces. Each piece
(token) is a small part of the larger picture
(sentence or paragraph) that the AI is trying to
understand.
Classification
Sorting data into different categories
based on their features.
Like sorting fruits into different baskets based
on type or color.
Data Point
A single piece of information or
measurement collected for analysis in a
dataset.
Imagine a data point as a single answer in a survey. When
you collect many such answers (data points), you can start
to see patterns and draw conclusions from them, much like
how a collection of individual survey responses can give
insights into public opinion.
Clustering

Grouping similar data points together.

Like organizing books into genres in a library.
