What is the view tab?


All the options in the PowerPoint View Tab are related to the page. That is, to change the mode
of the page and bring the toolbar to the page as per your wish. At the top and bottom of the page,
make a note. Make your page spread across the screen etc.

You can either use the mouse directly to access this tab or you can also access it by using
the (Alt + W) shortcut.
MS PowerPoint View Tab Sections: -
In MS PowerPoint View Tab, we get to see the (6) sections -:
1. Presentation Views
2. Show/Hide
3.Zoom
4. Colour/Grayscale
5. Window
6. Macros
There are many options in the View Tab of MS PowerPoint, which we also find in the View Tab
of MS Word and MS Excel.

Let us now go through all the options of the sections of this tab in detail -:

1. Presentation Views

In this section we get to see the (7) options -:


• Normal -: Clicking on this option will show the slide as normal.
• Slide Sorter -: In this view, all the slides of the presentation are shown in small form
on the screen, clicking on this option will show all the slides in sequence.
• Notes Page -: In this view, you can see how the slide of your presentation will look
after printing.
• Slide Show -: With the help of this option, clicking on this option will start showing
slides. You can also access this option by pressing (F5).
• Slide Master -: After clicking on it, the kind of change you will make in colour, font
style, size, etc. Its effect will be shown on each slide.
• Handout Master -: After clicking on it, the following toolbar will appear. Select how
many slides, and print on a page. After that click on close in the second toolbar.
• Notes Master -: With the help of this option, we can write any common text on all the
notes pages at once.

2. Show/Hide

In this section we get to see the (3) options -:


• Ruler -: This option is used to bring and remove the ruler.
• Gridlines -: With this, you can bring gridlines to your slide.
• Message Bar -: With the help of this option, the message bar is shown or hidden.
3. Zoom

In this section we get to see the (2) options -:


• Zoom -: With this option, the zooming of the slide is done more or less. And
maximum zooming of the slide is 400% and the minimum zooming is 10%.
• Fit to Window -: Clicking on this option, the zooming of the slide automatically
adjusts and fits on the screen.
4. Colour/Grayscale

In this section we get to see the (3) options -:


• Colour -: With the help of this option the slide remains colourful when this option is
activated.
• Grayscale -: With the help of this option activated, the slide is shown in the black and
white shading, but only the colour show will be shown in the slide show.
• Pure Black and White -: With the help of this option activated, the slide pure black
and white is shown, but only colourful will be shown in the slide show.
5. Window

In this section, we get to see the (5) option: -

• New Window -: With the help of this option open more than one.
• Arrange all -: With the help of this option, minimize more than one open window.
• Cascade -: With the help of this option, by this, you can overlap the screen window.
• Move Split -: With the help of this option, you use it to split the open window.
• Switch Windows -: With the help of this option, we can easily close the window of
the current document that is opened.
6. Macros

In this section we get to see the (1) options -:


• Macros -: On clicking this, the dialog box will open. Type the name of the recorded
macro in the Where Macro Name box. Then click on the Run option button. On
clicking, the recorded thing will appear on the page. You can also access this option
by pressing (Alt + F8).
