1. ICF/MD/SPEC-147 1.0 Scope Covers all infrastructural requirements for manufacture and supply of
Rev. 02 finished mild steel and corten steel heavy fabrication items.
Please refer to attached revised QAP (clause no. 2).
2. ICF/MD/SPEC-147 2.0 Requirements Fulfill the requirements of this schedule.

Facilities And the list of testing instruments also submitted on UVAM.
2. Have in house testing facility for Macro etch test for fusion of
fillet weld and Die penetration test and supply run out piece with
finished components.
3. Tie-up certificates for Non-destructive testing and radiographic
test is also attached (with license of LICENCE FOR POSSESSION
AND OPERATION OF RADIOGRAPHY EXPOSURE DEVICE(S)
FORINDUSTRIAL RADIOGRAPHY issued by Govt. of India AERB).
4. Tie-up certificates for testing chemical and mechanical
properties approved from NABL laboratory is attached.
7.4. Procedure Procedure: - The run out sample shall be cut perpendicular and the
and cross section of the welded area is ground to smooth finish without any
acceptance tool/file marks. The welded area shall be etched using dilute nitric acid
of Macro about 15% v/v for about one minute and washed thoroughly in running
Etch Test water. After washing it shall be dried. The etched welded zone viewed
either by naked eye or using magnifying lance of 40X. for fusion level and
other weld defects
Acceptance: - i. Fillet welds shall have fusion to the root of the joint.
ii. Shall have complete fusion between an adjacent layers of
weld metal and with base metal
iii. Shall have no cracks and
iv. Shall have no under-cut exceeding 1mm in depth.
8. ICF/MD/SPEC-147 8.0 Quality Control 1. Have ISO: 9001 series certification.
Rev. 02 Requirements 2. Proper system to ensure traceability of the product from raw
material stage to finished product range.
3. Revised QAP (CRG/QAP/CONV/BF/001 Rev.04) as per latest ICF
format attached.
4. Documentation followed as per STR.
9. ICF/MD/SPEC-147 9.0 Marking Marking Required as per Spec. /STR available on the finished products as
Rev. 02 specified in the relevant drawings.
