b. Story: “Believe in Yourself” with Ted and Zoe.
c. Materials: Laptop, Pictures, Television, Real Objects.

Putting surprise phrases under the chair of the students that shows Cause and Effect
Relationship.

c. Because of the heavy rain -the streets were flooded.

Using a Dictionary find the meaning of the following words.

A. Motivation:
(Flash the picture on the screen)

Questions:
 Do you have a friend?
 What are the two friends doing in the picture?
 Do you think it is important for everyone to have a friend/s? why?

B. Motive Question
What is the problem happened in the story? And how the two friends, Louis and
Jack solved it?

C. Presentation
Standards for listening to a story.
 Sit properly
 Don’t be noisy
 Listen attentively to the story
 Comprehend with the story.
 Let the Pupils watch and listen to the story about “Believe in Yourself”.

Questions:
Answer the Motive Question.
What is the problem happened in the story? And how the two friends, Louis and Jack
solved it?
1. Who are the characters in the story?
2. What adventure did they do?
3. What happen to Louis?
4. What did Jack do when he saw that Louis fell into te well?
5. How did Jack help Louis?
6. Why the Villagers don’t believe on the two friends?
7. Who is the only person believed in them?
8. Why do you think Uncle Peter convince the villagers to believe in Jack and Louis story?
D. Discussion
Post sentences from the story that will show problem and solution.
a. Ted cannot join in a music competition so, he practice to play well.
b. Louis fell into the deep well, but Jack saved him.
c. No one believed them, so Uncle Peter, an old and experienced man helped Jack and
Louis.

Questions:

 What is the problem that you can find in the first sentence? And what is the solution to the
problem?
 In the second sentence, what is the problem that you saw? What is the solution?
 For the third and last sentence, what is the problem? What is the solution?

E. Valuing
How is it important to make believe in yourself?
Do you think that you can do things, if you believe that you can do it? Why?

F. Modeling

The teacher will read the sentences followed by the pupils.

o Read and understand the following text, identify the problem and solution.

Deforestation is a serious environmental concern since it can result in the


disturbance of natural resources and habitat. To solve this problem, first cutting down too
many trees must be reduced and prohibited. Next, prevent setting fires in forest and treat the
trees with care. Lastly, promote reforestation programs and the planting of trees. As a result
not only the people will benefit from it, but also the animals living there.

 What is the problem that you see from the text?


 What are the solutions to the problem?

H. Independent Practice

they are going to solve by acting it in front o a class.
