o Understand the exam pattern and cut-off criteria: As an aspirant, you should be aware
of the GATE exam pattern and always follow the latest pattern as released in the
notification. You also need to be aware of the previous year’s GATE EC cut off marks so
that you can make sure how much you need to score this time to achieve your desired
goal.
o Prepare short notes: At the time of revisions, referring to the detailed notes or standard
book is not a wise decision, as a smart aspirant you need to prepare short notes for
revision. Make sure that you can cover more and more information in fewer words. You
can use flashcards to note important formulas that you will be needing frequently.
o Solve previous year’s problems & test series: Previous year’s GATE EC questions can
give you an idea of difficulty level, this is very helpful so that you can identify your strong
and weak subjects. You can use the above-mentioned strategy and alter the same
accordingly to adjust your requirements. To practice more standard-level problems you
can attempt test series on the Testbook platform.
