Linear Equation Grade 7

This document provides a series of linear equations and word problems to solve. It begins with 10 single-variable linear equations in sections 1 and 2. Section 3 includes 10 word problems that can be translated into linear equations and solved. The problems cover a range of skills including setting up equations from written descriptions, solving for unknown values, and translating between algebraic and word problem representations of linear relationships.

d. 10a + 30 = 100
e. 4(x + 3) = 32
2. Solve each of the following equations.
a. 6x - 3 = 2x + 13
b. 35a + 10 = 20a + 175
c. 2 (x + 5) = 6 (x – 5)
d. 3x + 5 – 2x = 6x - 10
e. 5 (y – 6) = 2 (6 + y)
