II. Session Outline

Session Title: “Let’s do Together”

Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) understand collaboration.
b) grasp the significance of collaboration in building relationships.
c) actively engage in collaborative activities, reflecting on personal
experiences
Key Concepts:  Collaboration is a partnership; a union; the act of producing or
making something together.
 Collaboration can take place between two people or many
people, strangers, or best friends.
 To collaborate is to commit to the possibility of producing an
outcome greater than one that would be developed in a silo.
 Collaboration in a workplace involves a group of people sharing
their ideas and skills to achieve a common goal. Working
collaboratively, instead of individually, helps improve
productivity and gives employees a sense of purpose in the
organization.
 Collaboration is the most basic building block of teamwork, and
it is crucial to delivering results on projects that require teams of
people working together.
 Collaboration facilitates the exchange of ideas and thoughts
among team members who then weigh in on them with collective
expertise. Collaboration in this sense acts as a force multiplier
for innovative ideas and as checks and balances for ideas that
can’t be executed or ones that need more thought put into them.
