Open SolidWorks

Go to: Start > Programs > SolidWorks

Select the Assembly option

Save the Assembly

Go to: File > Save

Save the file with the following name: Assembly

Import the Hull

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Hull.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click OK

The hull is fixed automatically in the assembly.

Import the Superstructure

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Superstructure.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click OK

The superstructure is fixed automatically in the assembly.

Import the Radarmast

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Radarmast.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click OK

The radarmast is fixed automatically in the assembly.

Import the Front Seat

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Front_Seat.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click OK

The front seat is fixed automatically in the assembly.

Import the Middle Seat

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Middle_Seat.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click OK

The middle seat is fixed automatically in the assembly.

Import the Rear Seat and add the mates manually

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Rear_Seat.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click anywhere in your working screen.

Define the position of the Rear Seat manually

Create a coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the deck surface of the Hull and select the blue bottom surface of the rear seat as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 0 mm

Click OK

Create another coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the Mid Plane of the Hull and the Mid Plane of the Rear_Seat in the feature tree as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 0 mm

Click OK

Create another coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the black point of the Hull and the black point of the Rear_Seat as shown in the orange circle as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 50 mm

Click OK

Import the Garage Door

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Garage_Door.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click anywhere in your working screen.

Create a coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the Mid Plane of the Hull and the Right Plane of the Garage_Door in the feature tree as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 0 mm

Click OK

Create a concentric mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the concentric option

Select the blue hinge tube of the hull and the blue hinge hole
of the Garage Door as shown in the picture and details

You can change open the garage door by dragging at the garage door body

Click OK

Import the first Propeller

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Propeller.SLDPRT in your model map.

Click anywhere in your working screen.

Create a concentric mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the concentric option

Select the blue axis of the hull and the blue propeller
hole as shown in the picture and details

Click OK

Create a coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the blue surface of the Hull axis and the


blue surface of the Propeller as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 0 mm

Go to: Insert > Component > Existing Part/Assembly

Click on the button.

Select the Assembly_McLaren_MP12c.SLDASM in the McLaren car map.

Click anywhere in your working screen.

Create a coincident mate

Go to: Insert > Mate

Select the coincident option.

Select the Mid Plane of the Hull and the Right Plane of
the McLaren car in the feature tree as entities to mate

Change the Distance to 0 mm

Click on the rotate icon to face the front of the car to the rear of the ship

Click OK
