AN EXECUTIVE ORDER REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PEACEKEEPING ACTION TEAM


(BPAT)

WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of the National Peace and Order Council and the Philippine
National Police, the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) is hereby created as the primary operators to
conduct Community-oriented Policing and Public Safety System.

WHEREAS, the mission of the BPAT is to conduct peacekeeping activities in association with the
various sectors of the community and ensure their continuous support towards the maintenance of peace and
order and safety;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sammy C. Sarmiento, Punong Barangay of Barangay Salvador, City of


Santiago, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby organize the Barangay Peacekeeping Action
Team (BPAT) as follows:

Section 1. Composition. The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) is hereby organized to be
constituted as follows:

Members: DOMINGO S. RAMAT Chairman, Committee on Peace and Order
VIRGINIA A. SALVADOR Chairman, Committee on Social Services
JONARD D. AGSAOAY SK Chairman
PCPT HASSAN NOR D DAMAC Acting Station Commander, PNP Station 4
RODOLFO D. CONTAWE Chairman, Lupon Tagapagkasundo
ALEX T. ALIP Chief Tanod
RECHELYN B CONSTANTINO School Head, Salvador Integrated School
REV. JOYCEE G. LORENZANA Representative, Inter- faith Group
ELENA S. SALINAS Representative, Senior Citizen
ANTONIO C. CRUZ Representative, Ligaya-IA
NORMITA C. VILLAVEZA President, Rural Improvement Club

Section 2. Functions. The Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) shall exercise the following
functions:
1. Organize and mobilize various sectors of the community in support of the maintenance of peace
and order and safety;
2. Conduct crisis management, disaster mitigation, search, rescue, and relief operations within the
community;
3. Strengthen and support the Barangay Justice System (Lupong Tagapamayapa); and
4. Conduct crime prevention and deterrence measures to protect the vulnerable sectors of the
community.

Section 3. Funding Support. Funding support for the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT)
shall be charged against the fund of the Barangay Government subject to availability of funds and to the
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

Section 4. Effectivity. This order shall take effects immediately.

Let copies hereof be furnished to all concerned for information, reference, and guidance.
Done in this 4th day of January at Barangay Salvador, City of Santiago, Philippines.
