Request For A New Seating Arrangement

The parent writes a letter requesting a change in their child's seating arrangement. The child finds their current front row seat uncomfortable due to lack of legroom and obstructing others' views. It also strains their neck to see the board. They ask for a seat that allows them to see and have space. Additionally, the child wants to swap seats with another to help that student who is struggling academically. The parent hopes the teacher will thoughtfully consider these requests to benefit the child's well-being and performance.

Request for a new seating arrangement

Dear Ma’am Ted Tamayo

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to discuss a matter that is important
to my child's academic progress. As the parent of Zack Cabangen, I believe that a
change in his seating arrangement in the classroom is necessary for his comfort
and performance.

During our recent conversation, my child mentioned how being seated at the back
of the classroom has positively impacted his academic performance. He expressed
that the comfortable seating arrangement has enabled him to concentrate better
and actively engage in classroom activities. However, this time he has also
revealed some concerns that are affecting his overall experience in the classroom
which is being seated at the front.

Firstly, being a tall student, he finds it uncomfortable to be seated at the front of

the class. The lack of legroom and the confined space are causing discomfort and
hindering his ability to focus on the lesson. Additionally, he believes that his
presence at the front row may obstruct the view of his classmates sitting behind
him, which makes him feel self-conscious and affects his confidence in the
classroom environment.

Furthermore, my child has mentioned feeling uneasy during activities that require
him to copy from the blackboard. The constant strain on his neck and the resulting
discomfort have negatively impacted his ability to fully participate and engage in
these tasks. As a result, his academic performance has been adversely affected,
and he has reported experiencing frequent pain and discomfort in his neck.

In consideration of these concerns, I kindly request your assistance in arranging

for my child to be seated in a location that would better accommodate his needs.
A change in his seating arrangement, particularly to a location where he can
comfortably see the blackboard and have adequate space, would greatly
contribute to his overall well-being and academic performance.

Additionally, I would like to address another request in relation to my child's

seating arrangement. He has expressed a desire to swap seats with [Thamesa
Pesase]. He has mentioned that Thamesa's current seatmate, Rhian Ramon, is
facing challenges in their academic performance, and Thamesa has been unable
to provide the assistance that Rhian needs. My child is eager to support and guide
Rhian by being seated next to Rhian, as he believes he can offer the necessary
help and encouragement to improve Rhian's academic progress.

I appreciate your attention to these requests and trust that you will consider them
thoughtfully. Your support in addressing these concerns will have a positive impact
on my child's overall well-being and academic development. I am open to
scheduling a meeting to further discuss these matters if necessary.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I look forward to your prompt
response.

Sincerely,

Gina Cabangen
Zack’s Parent
