As SSNIT pensioners in the Nanumba District. we realize the need to come together as a group
ARTICLE 1:
a) The name of this organization shall be known and called the"Nanumba District SSNII
Pensioners' Association".
(0) The registered headquarters of the Association shall be in Bimbilla and the postal address
ARTICLE 2:
(a) To organize all SSNIT pensioners in the Nanumba District for a common purpose and
(c) To promote, aid and encourage the establishment of co-operative and other economic
enterprises owned wholly or partly by the Association and encourage the sale and use of

business ventures that will improve the living standards of its members.
ARTICLE 3.1

(a) Membership of the Association shall be open to all SSNIT pensioners in the Nanumba
District.
(b). On enrolment, a member shall pay an Enrolment Fee of ten Ghana cedis (GHC 10.00) or

Membership Book bearing his/her Name, House Number, Bank Code or bank at which

(b) All District Oficers shall be elected by secret ballot or by show of hand at a General
Meeting of the Association. They shall hold office for two (2) terms only. A term shall

DUTIES OF OFFICERS
(a) CHAIRMAN: The Chairman shall preside over all meetings of the ASSociation and shall
have a casting vote and shall append his signature to confirm the minutes of these
meetings. He/She shall be responsible for the proper conduct of all business of such
meetings and for the correct interpretation of the constitution. He/She shall be the
custodian of the Association's constitution. He/She in conjunction with the Secretary and
the Treasurer shall sign cheques on behalf of the Association. In the absence of one
signatory, the signatures of the remaining two officers shall be valid for any transaction.
(b) VICE CHAIRMAN: The Vice Chairman shall assist the Chairman in all his duties and
assume full responsibility as chairman during the absence of the Chairmen. He/She shall
perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Chairman.
(c) SECRETARY: The Secretary shall discharge his/her duties in accordance with the
dictates of the Association's constitution. He/She shall be responsible for the recording of
minutes of general meetings and all other meetings. He/She shall be responsible for all
correspondence for and on behalf of the Association. He/She shall prepare detailed
Report of activities of the Association, He/She in conjunction with the Chaiman ahu tie

AMENDMENT
(a) This constitution or any part of it shall be subiect to amendment at a general meeting ol

ARTICLE 10:
DISSOLUTION
Ine organization known and called the Nanumba SSNIT Pensioners Association" shall not on
any occasion be dissolved unless eighty percent (80%) of members decide to that effect. On
dissolution, all assets and liabilities of the Association legally owned on behalf of it shall be
discharged and any surplus funds shall be divided among members in equal proportion.
