SEND Support Worker

To provide high quality support for SEND Students to achieve outcomes and to ensure
progression from college into identified and agreed positive destinations.

Critical Success Factors:
1 To understand the support needs of students through reading the SEND support plans
and have a clear understanding of the strategies identified and how they can be
implemented.
2 To work alongside the curriculum teams to understand how the strategies can be
effectively implemented within specific vocational areas.
3 To deliver a support service that complies with the SEND Code of Practice.

and Chief Executive, through the SEND Manager.
The post holder must have the ability to work with a wide range of people of all ages from very
different backgrounds with different SEND needs and to respond accordingly to support those
needs.
The duties and responsibilities attached to this role demand a flexible approach to work, which
will include occasional evenings and very occasional Saturdays.
The post holder will be required to Present themselves in a professional and business-like
manner, including dressing appropriately to a professional role

bonus. Criteria ranked as C remain important to the role but could be learnt over a longer
period of time.
