Statement of Purpose

Computers and information technology play an important role in human lives as we proceed
further into the twenty-first century. Every new research gives us hope to shapeour future in the
most powerful manner. In college, I was surprised to know how Computer Science and analysis
are related to the effective functioning of business processes in every field. I have chosen a
Master’s degree in Computer Science program to acquire deep knowledge of all the areas and
parts of technology that encompasses Computer Science. It is a great opportunity for me to study
at your university as I believe that it can provideme with a comprehensive learning opportunity
and skills that are required for a successful profession in Computer Science.

While randomly scrolling through my social feed on Instagram when I was younger, I noticed
that
all the Amazon ads I saw every day were things I needed but at the same time was
befuddled.Curious about how Amazon was as good as my mom at understanding my needs, I
started going down the rabbit hole of the internet. Later from internet searches, I discovered
something which I have always desired to do but did not know how to start building such
intelligent systems – Artificial Intelligence. A few years later I got the opportunity to work in the
field for more than 2 years and being a student in this field has been a fantastic experience that
has allowed me to have a new perspective on everything in my life. My overall career ambitions
and transitions, which I have meticulously sketched during my undergraduate and professional
career, are likely to get traction with an MS in Computer Science.

Having observed Computer technology make an impact on various aspects of modern life since
my school days has drawn me to the awe-inspiring world of Computer Science. Right from me
schooling, I maintained a consistent academic record with a 9.5 CGPA in Class 10 exams and
94.9% in pre-university exams. Throughout my undergraduate study and a full-time job in
Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, I worked hard to attain the best possible
achievement spectrum in every path I pursued.

After my high school education, I was admitted into a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and
Communications Engineering from Koneru Lakshmaiah University, one of India’s leading
engineering universities, as I stood top 5 in the percentile national level entrance exam. Apart
from
specializing in Signal and Image Processing, I made use of the flexibility in my curriculum to
focus on computer science subjects such as fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming,
Data
Structures, Machine Learning, Artificial Neural Networks, OS, DBMS, Human-Computer
Interaction, Computer Networks, Computer Organization, and architecture. I scored a stellar
9.38
CGPA and achieved distinction in my undergraduate program. Apart from academics, I worked
on several projects, including "Accident Detection and Alert System Using Arduino-IOT" to
prevent uncertain death after an accident because this system sends the message alert to the
hospital or police station. The message alert includes longitude, and latitude (location of
accident), in the form of a google map link. I worked on a project titled "RFID Based
Contactless Body Temperature Screening Sensor” it will measure the body temperature of
employees with a non-contact Infrared Thermometer and log the Name and Temperature of that
employee directly to the excel sheet. We will be using Arduino Nano, MLX90614, EM18 RFID
Reader, and Ultrasonic Sensor to build this project. I did an internship wherein I developed an
“Embedded IOT Industrial Automation”I have done my internship in tessolve based on
embedded iot and its applications during the intern time period the component we mainly used
was cc3200 which was manufactured by texas. Instrumentation's to test or use this board we
have used energia IDE software.

Presently, I look forward to building my career in Computer Science that will be intellectually
challenging, but rewarding and provide great opportunities in the long run. I believe that I am
passionate, intellectually capable, and prepared to set out on this exhilarating and challenging
path. I wish to make significant real contributions to the current research projects in this field by

working on innovative projects and discovering the undiscoveredconcepts in Computer Science.
I explicitly would like to work in the field of Computer Science to improve User- Experience in
the e-commerce sector of business which has become anessential part of our life.

The program offered at ‘Saint Louis University’ will help me acquire the versatility to increase
my potential as a Data Scientist. The state-of-the-art research facilities at your university appeals
to me since I am sure that it will provide me with the guidance of the finest faculty, modern
facilities and a conducive and open atmosphere. It would also present an opportunity to meet
intellectual students from other places and have an effective knowledge transfer with them. With
the knowledge, experience and the qualities acquired, I am confident of being able to measure up
to the high standards of research work that the program has set. My extreme interest in Computer
Science has led me to choose research in Computer Science as my career option, and my selection
into this program would elevate my opportunity to be shape up career as a Data Engineer in top
MN C's once I am back to India.
