Second Semester Final Case Study Exam for the course Advanced Marketing Strategy

Instruction:
 Write precise case answer by selecting only three case questions out of the following.
Submit your answer by email on Saturday August 29, 2020 before 5:00AM Nairobi. Do
not please attach you just compose by email and send to me only. Do not share your
answer to any one. Make sure you use your own e-mail address (30%)
 Please avoid taking others work directly. Academic plagiarism or the involvement of third
person in your writing will result in invalid your exam score.
 Similar cases and writings, working in group, sharing one idea to another student verbally,
face to face or electronically are prohibited. Any synonymous work shared each other by
students are not acceptable and invalid
 You are expected to develop your case by yourself and write it clearly. In case the
professor found necessary you might be asked to present or brief it to the course professor
over the telephone or on line in that case your result submission will be delayed.
 Selecting Similar cases writings adopt from others, working in group, sharing one idea to
another student verbally, face to face or electronically are completely prohibited. Any
synonymous work shared each other by students are not acceptable and subject invalid.
 Failure to submit after the deadline and time is the responsibility of the student and will not
be considered for checking and grading it.
 The course professor expects you to work this case study independently and you only
follow the procedure of case studies and attempt to complete it by yourself with high level
ethics and integrity which the professors relies and trust you will commit yourself to fulfill
the course completion..

Case Studies on Advanced Marketing Strategy

1. A company needs your advice to develop SWOT/TWOS analysis to develop its Strategic
marketing primarily focusing on its customers and to use digital marketing. The market is
very fragile and the situation needs strong and evidence based marketing information. Prepare
the SWOT/TWOS analysis by taking a hypothetical product/service for a company operating
its business in Ethiopia.
2. Marketing operates within a dynamic global environment, requiring marketing managers to
think freshly about their marketing objectives and practices. from your point view briefly
write the marketing challenges at twenty first century by taking the case of small factory
that produces and sells food stuff both for local and global market during COVID-19
pandemic?

3. Some companies face a problem ---- they must develop new product solution
lies on strong new – product planning and in setting up a systematic new –
product development process for finding and growing new products--- would you
specifically present a case that you want to share on the the product development
process for your course professor?

3 You’ve been asked this question a million times. Business owners and marketers alike get too
paralyzed about finding the perfect number—and end up spending nothing at all. Or, worse

yet, they spend randomly and nothing is integrated enough to have any real impact. What is

your short answer? How do you figure that out?


4 Advertising,sales promotion, and puplic relation are paying a vital role in the
promotion mix. If you where a marketing manager for X Companay that produces and sells
mobile phones portray the major decisions involve in developing an advertising program in your
marketing strategy ?

5 Have you developed a communication tool or process for spreading your content marketing
vision throughout the organization?
We believe one of the reasons Coca-Cola’s Content 2020 initiative was so readily adopted by its
senior staff is because everyone fully understood and believed in the company’s content vision.
How was that possible? Coke created a Jerry McGuire-like mission statement document for the
Content 2020 program. It was highly engaging, highly shareable, easy to understand, and was
able to make an impact on thousands in a very short period of time.
Are you finding it difficult to get buy-in? Do the field marketers, product marketers, and sales
team members all understand what you are trying to do? Probably not, so it’s vital that you
provide them with tools they need to make sure everyone works off the same script — and toward
the same goals.
You may not have the answers to these questions right now, but you need to figure them out at
some point. Every week you should be reviewing these questions with your team and tracking
progress… they are that important.
