Topic For Expository Essay
Topic For Expository Essay
Crafting an expository essay can be a daunting task, especially when faced with the challenge of
selecting a suitable topic. The difficulty lies not only in generating an engaging and informative
thesis but also in conducting thorough research to provide credible evidence and examples to support
it. Moreover, ensuring a logical flow of ideas and maintaining clarity throughout the essay adds
another layer of complexity to the writing process.
When attempting to brainstorm a topic for an expository essay, one must consider various factors
such as relevance, audience interest, and the availability of sufficient information to develop a
comprehensive analysis. This often involves extensive brainstorming sessions, research, and refining
of ideas to pinpoint a topic that not only aligns with the assignment's requirements but also allows
for in-depth exploration and critical examination.
The crystal growth lab was done to display how crystals expand and grow through a
changing environment. A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more
components, one liquid, and one dissolved solid or solids. The amount of the solid
introduced in the solution is known as the concentration. Solubility is the property of a
concentration to dissolve into a solution, describing how well it dissolves in different
temperatures and masses. Depending on the solubility a solution can be saturated,
undersaturated, or supersaturated.
When a solution has the maximum amount of solid concentration based on the
temperature, crystals will not form or dissolve into the solution being equally saturated.
In an undersaturated solution, there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The solution became lighter in color as the seed crystalized, attaching to the bottom of
the beaker. The seed crystal was gradient in color started as dark blue and turning lighter
blue as it grew upward seen in Figure 2. Conclusion
In conclusion, from this experiment, we can say our hypothesis was not valid. We reject
the hypothesis because in the recording of immediate results, our solution reached
temperatures much less than 70° Celsius and yet no crystallization began. The solution
showed no signs of crystal growth at the predicted temperature, however, did ultimately
crystalize under a much lower temperature. Our results may have been impacted by the
faulty thermometer and the insulation using the Styrofoam cup. As our cooling rate is
slightly slower, our seed crystal formed more individual crystals, similar in size, rather
than hundreds of very fine crystals. Our crystal grew from the seed crystal and also
from the bottom of the beaker. The seed crystal allowed the Copper Sulfate ions to attach
to it, growing outward as the solution stabilized. Crystals also formed on the bottom of
the beaker as the concentration was not fully dissolved, settling to the bottom of the
beaker. To improve the experiment, we could have used a better thermometer to record
the appropriate data. We also should have heated the solution further to ensure the
concentration of Copper Sulfate was
Union Carbide Research Paper
The disaster in Bhopal, India was the worst industrial disaster ever. The plant where it
occurred was Union Carbide, an American owned plant that makes batteries, but to
make them they had to first have a chemical known as MIC. That was made in the plant
in Bhopal. MIC is volatile, unpredictable and fatal if inhaled. It is one of the most toxic
and lethal substances. Regardless, people still wanted to work for the Union Carbideplant
in Bhopalbecause it paid well. However, people who worked at the plant begin to worry
about the chemicals and their toxicities. People began to flee in mass panic. No one
calls the first responders, who do not have a plan in place anyway. Some people die by
being crushed. No one knows if it is better to stay
Charlemagne Pros And Cons
Known as The King of the Franks, Charlemagne inherited half of his father s kingdom
at his death in AD 768 and took over the other half at his brother s death in AD 771. In
keeping with the tradition of his predecessors, Charlemagne s reign was characterized by
three decades of military campaigns. During his reign, Charlemagneled campaigns
against the Saxons, the Lombards, Spain and Bavaria. His empire extended from
Saxony in the North to the Spanish March in the South and Italy in the West.
Charlemagne was officially named as the first Roman Emperor by the Pope in late AD
800. He remained emperor until AD 814.
Charlemagne ruled as king but relied on an inner circle of trusted advisors. He also
relied on counts to govern the various territories,
Psychodynamic Theories And Discusses Key Elements Of...
Behaviourist Theories
This essay examines behaviourist theories and discusses key elements of classical and
operant conditioning. It considers a variety of psychological theorists and profoundly
explores their research.
Behaviourism refers to a psychological approach which explains human development in
terms of how they learn from experience rather than a result of inborn tendencies or
higher order thinking. Learning from experience moulds and shapes behaviour and
personality. (A2Healthandsocialcarepg84) The behaviourist movement began in 1913
when John Watson wrote the article Psychology as the behaviourist views it. Other
psychologists such as, Pavlov, Thorndike and Skinner also worked to develop
behavioural theories of learning. (A2Healthandsocialcarepg84) They focused their
explanations solely on behaviour, concerning what people do rather than what may or
may not be going on in their minds. Behaviourists suggest that all behaviour is learned
either through classical or operant conditioning. (PsychologyASpg.50)
Thorndike s research offered valuable insights into conditioning. He studied the way
animals learn by observing their responses in controlled conditions. He noticed that
animals would often learn by trial and error. For example, a hungry cat would
experiment with ways of escaping from a cage to receive a reward of food. When the
cat discovered actions that helped it escape, it would remember them. Thorndike believed
any action that produced a good effect
Verizon Working Capital Ratio
Furthermore, such ratios facilitate them to determine the ability of a firm to raise
additional debt. The directors are mainly interested in the activity, efficiency or turnover
ratios because they facilitate them to appraise the effectiveness of the management team.
Arguably, such ratios enable the directors to examine the manner in which the
managementteam is controlling expenses given that they influence the return the
organization will realize (Robinson). Finally, the suppliers are mainly concerned about
the liquidity ratios. It is largely because they examine whether a particular firm has the
capacity to meet it short term obligations. Notably, a substantive number of organizations
acquire products on credit basis and that implies that the suppliers will be keen on
making sure their clients have the ability to make payments in good time.
