Obstacles In The Titans
The T.C. William Titans fought and overcame many obstacles throughout the season.
Some of these obstacles included racism, the team falling apart, and biased referees.
Even though all odds were against them, the Titans pulled through and managed to win
the state championship. The first, and main obstacle that the Titans faced was racism.
Racism was prevalent throughout the whole movie, but was worst in the beginning as
the team had not learned to accept each other yet. White players and parents didn t want
black players or a black coach, and many wanted to boycott T.C. Williams for allowing it.
Head coach, Herman Boone, solved this at the team s camp by forcing the players to get
to know each other, or face practice multiple times a day. Racism continued throughout
the movie, mostly from people outside of the team, but there was occasional racial
tension within the team. The Titans faced many other obstacles throughout the season,
but racism was the biggest one.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In one of the Titans games, they noticed that they were not playing together as well as
they had been previously, and that tensions were high. To combat this, the boys called a
team meeting. At the team meeting, they realized that they needed to raise the positive
energy and bond a little more at their upcoming game. To do this, they decided to sing
during their usual warm up, which had the added benefit of distracting the other team
during their warm up. Without quickly realizing that the team was falling apart and that
they needed to do something to fix it, the Titans wouldn t have been able to win the state
Forced Vital Capacity Case Study
Purpose and Prediction In this study I am observing the effects of gender on forced
vital capacity (FVC) and the relationship between torso length, height, and torso/height
ratio on forced vital capacity. To look at FVC I am interested in looking at the largest
amount of air a person can forcefully exhale and continue exhaling for 6 seconds after
breathing in as deeply as a person can. If gender has an effect on FVC then males will
have a greater FVC than the FVC of females. If there is a correlation between height
and FVC, then as height increases so will FVC. If there is a correlation between torso
length and FVC then the longer a torso the greater the FVC will be. If there is a
correlation between torso/height ratio and FVC then the greater... Show more content on

The * indicates p 0.05; a significant difference between the FVC of females and the
FVC of males. Figure 1. The effect of gender on the mean forced vital capacity in
college aged students. The data reported as the mean ± standard deviation with n =
127, 59 respectively. The asterisk signified the male mean FVC is significantly
different than the female mean FVC. Figure 2 illustrates the relationship between
FVC and height of college aged students. The correlation coefficient for FVC and
height is R2 = 0.3107; a perfect correlation is R2 = 1 and no correlation is R2 = 0. This
shows that there is a weak correlation, or association, between FVC and height. Figure
2. The relationship between forced vital capacity and the height of college age
students. Data is from 186 college students, R2 = 0.3107. As shown in Figure 3, the
relationship between FVC and torso length of college aged students is illustrated. The
correlation coefficient for FVC and torso length is R2 = 0.1282; a perfect correlation is
R2 = 1 and no correlation is R2 = 0. This shows that there is a very weak correlation
between FVC and torso
The Prince And The Pauper By Mark Twain
In The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain, Twain suggest that even though Edward
and Tom switch lives they have the same knowledge. The two main characters are
Edward Tudor, who is part of the royal bloodline, and Tom Canty, who is a poor boy
where domestic violence occurs in his house on a daily basis. How these two
completely opposite citizens of England meet is strange. One day Tom, who is the
poor boy, is walking near the castle. As he walks near the castle Edward, who is the
prince of England, is walking into the castle and a guard treats Tom poorly. Edward
saw how the guard treated Tom and decided to invite him into the castle. While they
were in the castle, they talked about their different lifestyle and how every day went
for them. As they were talking, Tom and Edward became envious of each other s
lifestyle. Tom liked the royal life that Edward had, and Edward liked Tom s life of
roaming freely and playing in mud. Since they were envious of each other, they... Show

What Twain is suggesting is that people use their senses, particularly the visual sense
when they first meet someone. At first sight, people can t tell what type of personality
someone has, one can only see a person s appearance. If you smell good or you are
dressed nicely, you are sought as a person that has money and a certain social status. In
this case, since Tom is the poor kid dressed like a king, the commoners of England
think he really is the king rather than a poor person who begs on the streets. On the
other hand the real king, Edward, is dressed like a poor person and people believe that
he really is a poor person and not the King of England. Furthermore, another example is
Miles Hendon. Although he has important people family members, people think that he
is poor since he wears only rags. Those three instances show what you can perceive the
first time you see a person it s only their
Motherhood In Peter The Rabbit
Motherhood feeling blooms in each woman s heart. As a little girl, motherhood is
practiced through doll as if it is her baby. As a woman grows up, she creates her dreams
of being a mother, strong bond, and attachment to this world; she naturally belongs to
this hood. Motherhood then becomes waking up in the middle of the night to make sure
that her child is well tucked in and to give her full attention, care, and love to a child. It
is a harsh world, tiredness and exhaustion sometimes. Through the endless journey, she
consumes her real, metal and emotional power and energy for the sake of her own
children s comfort and happiness. Strangely, if asking any motherabout her life as a
mother? She would happily say that being a mom is the most satisfying feeling she has
ever had. Most important chore in motherhood trip is to teach a child to grow up, as
nothing equals the happiness of a mother when finally, she knows that she raised a
successful human being. As we will learn in this essay, how is Peter s mother in Peter
the Rabbit is different than Charles s mother in Voices... Show more content on

We will see how desperate these women to hold a baby in their arms; raise him, teach
him and be there for him. We will also see how much they want to experience his great
world of motherhood. Being good mothers gives us the ultimate feeling of satisfaction,
happiness, and accomplishment. My point is that there are so many mothers who have
children but not necessarily good parents, there are exceptions. Children are a blessing
we should be grateful and treat them as good as we can, teach them to grow up properly
so that they can face the world outside which is not always a happy
