Pokemon Case Study
I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was, to catch them is my real test, to train
them is my cause, John Siegler. This quote is the beginning theme song to the hit
television show Pokemon. Millions of people today can instantly recognize this song
because of Pokemon s immense popularity. It it so well known that almost everyone in
my class had heard this song previously. Today Pokemon is in over 74 countries, and it
continues to get bigger and bigger (Pokemon in Figures). This popularity stems from the
many different marketing strategies that Pokemon uses to target the United States
obsession for wanting more. The Pokemon trading cards are one way the Pokemon
Company has tapped into American consumerism. First introduced to the United
States in 1999, the trading cards have been vital to the success of Pokemon since they
were release ( Pokemon Case Study ). According to the Pokemon Company, there have
been over 23.6 billion cards worldwide. To sell more cards, the Pokemon Company
made certain cards more rare and valuable. Each card was given a different rarity of
either common, uncommon, rare, or legendary. These rare cards were highly sought
after, and it gave people even more reason to purchase packs because it is human
nature to want what they can t have. A quick search on Ebay showed me that some
cards are even worth hundreds of dollars! The high prices of rare Pokemon show that
people are willing to do anything to get that rare card. Kids in the United States

After watching the movie Driving Miss Daisy, I found out that it is an interesting movie
about a seventy two year old woman who lives with her cook. She is having hard time
with driving because of her age. Her son told her that he will hire a driver for her after
she dangerous drove in to a neighbor s house. She did not like the idea because she
sees driving as fun, freedom, and being independent. Her son insists, he hire her a
driver named Mr. Hoke. At first, Miss. Daisy refuse the driver to take her anywhere
but because Mr. Hoke was patience, he convince her to let him driver her, she later
accept to give it a try. The driver Mr. Hoke serve Miss. Daisy for twenty years and they

I learned how to be patient when dealing with people and as a nurse you have to be
patient with your clients. You have to provide them with all the information they need
and allow them to make their own decisions. For instance Hoke and Boolie provided
Miss Daisy with the information she needs to help her change her mine to have a
driver instead of driving herself and they waited for her to change her mine instead of
forcing her. I learned to love people no matter their race, religion, or cultural
background. In the movie, Hoke showed a lot of love to Miss Daisy even though they
are from different cultural background and he won her heart from doing so. Boolie
also showed so much love for her mother in the movie. He was always there for her
when she needs him. On one occasion she called him to come over to her house, he
thought it was something serious, when he came she told him that one of her can fish
was missing, somebody has stolen it. His son was very angry because his mother called
him to come over because of a missing can of fish but he figured out a way to solve the
The Law Elasticity Of Cold Temperature
Table one (which contain 0 degrees) can clearly prove that our hypothesis was
supported, the law elasticity states that when cold temperature is applied to a rubber
band it will expand meaning the less elastic constant; this worked a bit the opposite in
our case. Take note that human error could have played a large part in this experiment.
100 g in test 1, 2 and 3 is rather odd as the elasticity of the rubber band is decreasing in
value: it starts at 0.4 and ends up in 0; this should be the complete opposite. This
common problem keeps occurring until 250g for test 1, 2 and 3 where the value is the
same for each test; this is rather odd as the value should increase. T4 (70 degrees) is the
hottest temperaturewe tested. This follows a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The smoothest of all our tests was the one with the room temperatures, on this day one
of our group members were absent but we managed to achieve to work effectively, this is
mainly because of its simplicity.
This experiment had many faults in it. It had vary results and the law that when hot
temperature is applied in to rubber bands it will contract did abide with many of our
results, same goes to the law about cold temperature where the rubber band expands. It
can be assumed that human error played a large factor in the results of this
experiment; we did keep it controlled by letting only one person measure the x value of
the rubber band. This way only one judgement will be written down in our results
rather than multiple which will confuse. I also believe we rushed and did too much
one our first go with temperature. There were four members on the group and we had
to manage it so that one person records the results while another does measuring, which
leaves with only two people managing all the temperatures, this included managing the
hot plate, the ice cubes, constantly checking the temperature for four beaker, which I
believe was a too big of a burden to carry which resulted in odd result. It also needed to
be noted that this had to be repeated three times for each temperature which means it was
a total of 12 different experiments in less than 70 minutes with only two people
managing all the critical
Summary Of Bring Back Flogging By Jeff Jacoby
In Bring Back Flogging , the author, Jeff Jacoby suggests that people should adopt some
of the Puritans tactics to punish criminals instead of putting them in prison. In order to
present his claim, Jacoby is based in the use of irony, logos, and ethos. According to Jeff
Jacoby a moment of humiliation is better than a couple of years behind the bars. I do not
agree with Jeff Jacoby s argument because the examples he gives and the way he refers to
the topic incite to violence, also during the development of the subject he is too
contradictory with his own opinions, and his arguments are unclear. To begin with, at the
start of his article, Jeff Jacoby mentions old punishments, horrible punishments, pursued
by Puritans, but at the same time... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Jeff Jacoby says something true, the criminal justice system has a problem, but
violence is not the solution. As a result, Jacoby made a great use of logos on paragraph
6 where he points out the consequences of incarceration, ...the price of keeping criminals
in cages is appalling a common estimate is $30,000 per inmate per year, also, he supports
that statement on paragraph 12, The Globe reported in 1994 that more than two hundred
thousand prison inmates are raped each year... he says, on that same fact, Jacoby is
using ethos suggesting that the information reported by The Globe, the newspaper for
which he works, is truthful. With these two statements he almost got the reader, but
again he contradicts himself saying that is not the inmates fault, ...usually to the
indifference of the guards, he adds. So, why should prisoners be punished if it is not
their fault? Furthermore, the use of irony may confuse the reader making unclear
Jacoby s position about the topic. For example, on paragraph 3 he states, now we
practice a more enlightened, more humane way of disciplining wrongdoers: We lock
them up in cages, personally, I believe is better go to prison than be whipping on public.
There are true stories of people that went to school in prison and learn more than in the
streets, in contrast, to be punish teach us to punish the others. Also, on paragraph 4, Jeff
Jacoby
