Pharmacy Admissions Essay

Crafting a compelling essay on the topic of "Pharmacy Admissions" can be quite challenging due to
the unique blend of personal and professional elements it requires. The difficulty lies in the need to
strike a balance between showcasing your passion for pharmacy, illustrating your academic prowess,
and narrating personal experiences that shaped your desire to pursue a career in this field.

To begin with, one must delve deep into their own motivations and aspirations for choosing
pharmacy as a career. Expressing these thoughts in a way that captivates the reader while maintaining
a genuine and sincere tone is no small feat. Furthermore, articulating one's academic achievements
and qualifications without sounding boastful is another delicate aspect of the essay.

The challenge intensifies when weaving personal experiences into the narrative. These anecdotes
should not only highlight your commitment to the field but also demonstrate the unique qualities that
make you a suitable candidate. It's a delicate balance to share personal stories that are relevant and
impactful without veering into the overly sentimental or clichéd territory.

Additionally, addressing why a particular pharmacy program is the ideal fit necessitates meticulous
research and a keen understanding of the program's strengths. This requires articulating how the
program aligns with your career goals and how you can contribute to the academic community.

In conclusion, writing a Pharmacy Admissions Essay demands a combination of self-reflection,

eloquence, humility, and research skills. It is a challenging task that requires careful consideration of
various elements to present a well-rounded and compelling case for admission.

A Christmas Carol Compare And Contrast
A Christmas Carol(Compare and Contrast Essay) A Christmas Carol is about a selfish
and greedy man named Ebenezer Scrooge, who goes on a life changing journey given
to him by his late best friend, Jacob Marley.A Christmas Carol had more similarities
than differences when it comes to comparing and contrasting the drama and the movie,
but they both had the same idea. Both are about a man who repels anyone he walks past
with only a single glance, but instead of him growing to be more of a hated man than he
already is, he experiences three spirits that take him through his life and show him what
the true meaning of Christmasreally is and that if he doesn t change his attitude, he will
never get another opportunity to change the way he
lives(Dickens,11)(Dickens,19)(Dickens,27). Scrooge could have stayed the way he was

Scrooge hated everything, which is why he was such a loathsome person to be
around. But he soon turned his life around and began to spread happiness to everyone
after he returns from a life changing journey through what he has become as a
person(Dickens,31 33). Although the movie and the drama were very much alike,
there were still some aspects of the movie when I was in suspense and didn t know
what was going to happen because there were still parts of the movie that didn t follow
exactly what was in the drama, which is why is really like this movie and how it was put
together. Ebenezer Scrooge will die a happy man with friends and family that will
mourn his death instead of dying a stingy, old man who was always alone. This
version of the story was one of the best ones I have ever heard or seen because it
followed the drama, but kept me in suspense. I didn t feel that the director was repeating
the same thing over and over again to fill the empty spaces, but instead, he was doing
something useful for the story by adding minor details to enhance the feel of the story

Frankish Culture
There were many topics that held my interest but many have already been fully fleshed
out in academic literature. Something that has not been fully explored and still debated is
the relationship of the settled Franks and the native people of the Levant. The crusades
were nothing less than a full on invasion into a foreign and harsh landscape with minimal
knowledge of the culture and landscapes they would have soon encounter. It was
incredibly important to the survival of the initial crusaders and then the crusaders states
that they had to adapt from their own European customs to those of the native Arab
populations. The Crusaders became a ruling minority, but not without the Arabization of
their own culture into something that became unique... Show more content on

When researching a topic pertaining to culture it will be imperative to research from
both sides of the culture. To dissuade against bias it was be equally important to include
contemporary accounts from contemporary arabs and muslims. One important primary
source is Travels by Ibn Jubayr s who lived in the twelfth century. Ibn Jubayr was a
geographer who travelled around the Levant while recording what he saw and
experienced, including references to the assimilation of the franks into Muslim culture.
For secondary sources I have requested a few books that relate to the cultures of the
crusades and the interactions between them. One such book is The crusades, christianity
and islam by Jonathan Riley Smith is a short summary of the dynamic between the two
cultures. I have also requested a thesis by a URI graduate student about the arabization of
the knights templar. The thesis does not directly relate because it deals with the military
order but it does explore the same underlying theme of the transition of europeans into

Tuesdays with Morrie Essay
It is through literature that we learn about life. Through literature we profit from the
experiences of others, comparing them with our own. Bob Cameron The essay
question: Using reader response theory and the quote by Bob Cameron, discuss how
effectively Mitch Albom, author of Tuesdays with Morrie, uses plot and story, character
development, point of view, theme, and symbols to convey his mesage. Include your
personal thoughts and views, as well as textual references, to support your opinions. In
Mitch Albom s Tuesday s with Morrie, Albom detailed his personal experiences with his
professor Morrie Schwartz. Mitch also expressed how influential Morrie was to his
friends, relatives, patients, and coworkers. Within this essay,... Show more content on

Within the memoir, Morrie and Mitch were the main rounded characters, while a flat
character was any character other than Mitch and Morrie such as their friends, family,
and coworkers. If the author could have developed some of the flat characters the
reader would have profited from their experiences. Of the flat characters, Morrie s
family required the greatest need for the development from flat to round since they
spent the most time with Morrie and were most likely suffering from more emotional
pain than Mitch. However, considering Cameron s quote, if the flat characters were to
even be developed, then that may have taken away from the underlying plot, theme, or
even Morrie and Mitch s relationship. The point of view was exclusively presented
through Mitch. Mitch had the ability to communicate Morrie s perception, how Mitch
described himself, and how Mitch compared himself before and after Morrie s death.
Mitch described Morrie s personality and how he had felt about things by describing
most of his earlier experiences with Morrie and by describing his personality after
Morrie had been diagnosed with ALS. Throughout the memoir, Mitch characterized his
personality as being a person who never [cried] (51), traded lots of dreams for a bigger

The Stomach Of The Cell
The article, The Stomach of the Cell from Pharmaceutical News describes lysosomes
of the cell located in the stomach of a human. Lysosomes are in the cells of the
stomach. Their main function uses acid to degrade, or breakdown proteins. (p. 1).
Lysosomes can be used against the body in the case of malaria, although, there is a drug
that can treat it. In the beginning of the article, the writer describes the main function of
lysosomes and how lysosomes relate to other organelles in other types of cells. In the
writer s words, Lysosomes are found in animal cells...In plant and fungal cells, a similar
type of function is carried out inside vacuoles (p. 1). After the introduction, the main

Lysosomes and vacuoles break down amino acids and proteins to be recycled to make
new proteins. Phagocytosis is when cells deal with the remains of dead cells. Dead
cells are broke down in lysosomes to be recycled to be reused as building materials or
as nutrients for energy. (p. 1). The article sets the disadvantage of lysosomes. Some of
the organelles use the acidic environment to carry out reactions that require a low pH (p.
1). Malaria parasites are one them. Because of the heme that is released from the
digestion of hemoglobin, it becomes toxic to the parasite. To detoxify the heme, malarial
parasites convert heme into an insoluble crystal called hemozoin, which is no longer
toxic to the parasite. (p. 1 p. 2). The near the end of the article discusses the drug
solutions to convert heme to hemozoin and the process. Quinine and chloroquine both
neutralize the pH of vacuoles and dissolve/attach to lipids. After the drugs go through the
lipid membrane, they increase the pH of vacuoles. After the vacuoles get neutralized,
heme begins to accumulate in Plasmodium, eventually killing the parasites. (p.
