Symptom

You require a service connection to your HANA database for support purposes.

Reason and Prerequisites

You already have set up a SAProuter connection to SAP (SAPservX).

Solution

Depending on the landscape on customer side there are three different kinds of service connections
required.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. SAP HANA Studio is installed on the HANA box

Prerequisites:

The latest version of SAP HANA Studio is installed on the HANA box

Solution:

Please provide a TREX/BIA/HANA service connection to the HANA box as described in note 1058533.

2. SAP HANA Studio is installed on a Windows Terminal Server

Prerequisites:

The latest version of SAP HANA Studio is installed on the Windows Terminal Server

SSH client (e.g. Putty) is installed on the Windows Terminal Server

X-Server (e.g. XMING) is installed on the Windows Terminal Server

The HANA box can be accessed from the Windows Terminal Server

Solution:

Please provide a Windows Terminal Server service connection as described in note 605795.

3. SAP HANA Studio is neither installed on the HANA box nor on a Windows Terminal Server

Solution:

Please provide the following two service connections (both)

A TREX/BIA/HANA service connection to the HANA box as described in note 1058533

A SAP HANA Studio service connection to the HANA box as described in note 1592925
