Subject : Conduct of the Dlvislon schools ness conference 2024

Date : January 12,2023

In preparation for the Regional Schools Press Conference, DepEd Digos City will
be holding the Division Schools Press Conference on January 25-27, 2024 at Ranon
Magsaysay Central Elementary School.

The conference ains to:

1. demonstrate understanding of journalism through skillful execution of

jouma]istic skins in various platfoms (i.e. , print, broadcast, online);
2. recognize the role of journalism in advocating social consciousness and
environmental awareness ;

3. promote fair and ethical use of media as tenets of responsible jouma]ism;

4. foster camaraderie and enrich learning experiences through healthy and

friendly competitions; and

5. provide leamers the opportunities to use the skills learned in campus

journalism for their future careers.
Moreover, this Division Schools Press Conference 2024 will require each school
paper adviser and campus journalist to pay P350.00 registration fee to cover expenses
in the conduct of the press conference and final coaching sessions.

All expenses incurred relative to the attendance of the conference shall be

charged against school/local funds and other sources of funds, subject to the usual
accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

Service credits shall be granted to all public-school teacher-participants and COG

for the non-teaching personnel for the services rendered during Saturdays, Sundays,
holidays, or end of school year/summer (DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003).
