S.A 34, R.S 17, Dhaka City Survey No. 16. Khatian No:-- C.S 177, S.A 231 R.S 415, Dhaka City Survey 2650 And 3071. Dag No: C.S And S.A 1571, R.S 4783 Dhaka City Survey No. 33568. Mouza: Dakkhit khan, P.S:-Dhakkhinkhann, Dist:- Dhaka. From, the field and laboratory test results, consistency of top layer of soil and nature of the structure, we may suggest as follows. ‘*** R.C.C Shallow foundation may be constructed by excavating 12’-0"" (3.65m) of soil form existing ground surface. Foundation bed should be well compacted before placing of lower part of foundation. Bearing capacity may be taken as 2.49 tsf- #** RCC cast-in-situ circular pile may be constructed. For 80 ft. long pile from existing ground surface, capacity of each pile may be taken as Diameter of Pile Bearing Capacity 24” dia 102 ton 20” dia 80 ton 18” dia 70 ton > These are all rough suggestion. The structural designer will take final decision depending on load on the foundation. > PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE ‘¢ In case of any excavation, it should be designed properly taking are of existing building, utility lines & available techniques. © Seismic factors must be considered in design (Ref: Seismic Zoning map of Bangladesh, BNBC) Note. a) 1Tsf=2ksf= 1.09 Kg/em?, 1Ton (US)= 1000kg = 2000 Ibs, E.G.L. = Existing Ground Level. b) Foundation base should be kept dry during construction period. c) In nature, soils are neither homogeneous nor isotropic. 4) Pile load test should be performed. if pile load test is not performed then the value of pile should be considered half ) ©) Experience and judgment are always necessary in adoy parameters to use the calculation of ultimate bearing capacity: NGR.
