Ministry of Heavy Industries has launched the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 with an outlay of Rs. 500 crores. The key objective of the scheme is to encourage faster adoption of electric vehicles by supporting setting up of charging infrastructure and promoting manufacturing of electric vehicles in India. It aims to accelerate electric mobility in India in line with the government's focus on reducing vehicular emissions and oil import bill. Key Features
• Broadened Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility has been expanded
beyond MSMEs to include any pharmaceutical manufacturing unit
with a turnover of less than 500 crores that requires technology and
quality upgradation.

• Flexible Financing Options: The scheme introduces more flexible


financing options, emphasizing subsidies on reimbursement basis,
over traditional credit-linked approach.

Key Features
• State Government Scheme Integration: The revised scheme allows
integration with state government schemes, enabling units to benefit
from additional top-up assistance.

• Dynamic Incentive Structure: Pharmaceutical units with the


following average turnover for the last three years will be eligible for
incentive subject to a maximum of Rs.1 crore per unit –

National Curriculum for Early


Childhood Care & Education
• It aims to improve the quality of ECCE transacted at the Anganwadi
Centre by prioritizing competency-based lesson plans and activities,
presented in a simple and user-friendly manner.

• It addresses how children learn in the early years, with a focus on


playful joy-based learning, in preparation for primary school.

• The curriculum consists of –


▪ 36 weeks of active learning
▪ 8 weeks of reinforcement and 4 weeks of initiation
▪ 5+1 days of play-based learning in one week
▪ Three blocks of activities in one day

National Curriculum for Early


Childhood Care & Education

• The curriculum comprises three sections –

▪ Section I consists of introduction, vision for an Indian child,


rationale and theoretical foundation for ECCE
▪ Section II comprises of details of the goals for different domains of
development, i.e. physical, language, cognitive, socio-emotional
etc.
▪ Section III focuses on implementation details such as principles of
programme planning, stages of programme planning etc.

National Framework for Early


Childhood Stimulation
• It aims to empower caregivers and Anganwadi Workers for holistic
early stimulation.
▪ This will be done through responsive caregiving and
opportunities for early learning
▪ This will be done for optimal development of children, both body
and brain.
• The framework is designed to provide the Anganwadi Worker with a
basic understanding of how children grow and develop, the
importance of brain development and the need for nurturing care.

• 36 month-wise age-based activities are provided that can be


conducted both within the household as well as at the Anganwadi
Centre or Creche
