How Globalized is your home?
Do an inventory of everything you have in your house. Find out the most essential "things" and
organize your inventory into two types:
“Essential Products” that are made in the Philippines

I chose this one among other products made in the


Philippines that are available at my home because
this became an essential one. Philippines is a
tropical country wherein the temperature is a little
bit hot and being sweaty is all the way round. This
keeps my clothes fresh, though there are also
clothes’ liquid fragrance from abroad, I can say this
one is literally remarkable product from Philippines.
Even my OFWs relatives bring this product abroad.

As usual different countries have its own brand


name in alcohol especially when COVID-19 strikes.
This alcohol from green cross is one of the most
trusted brand here in Philippines. Its cheaper price
among any other brand makes it more notable.

This is made from Baguio, Philippines. I think this


kind of weave product is one of the most
appreciable product in the country since it is made
from the heart of every Filipino. This can’t be easily
seen from any other country and many outside
dwellers visit Philippines for this kind of souvenir.

Food production here in the Philippines like Rebisco


leaves best value products. I included this one
because it’s my favourite snack. >< I came to
believe that Rebisco Philippines made every snack
so good! Additionally, in every commercial of
Rebisco embarks an artistic story. This story of
Rebisco is closely linked to the rich traditions of
Filipino culture.

This one is also what made Philippines an artistic


country. What would make a person think to do this
hand-held fan from Anahaw palm leaves? This is
also made from art. Abaniko fan is a symbol in the
Philippines.
“Essential Products” that are made from abroad

Nutella is originally made from Italy produced by a


Ferrero Group Company. It was developed in
Piedmont, due to a lack of cocoa beans after post-
war rationing reduced availability of the raw
material. There are also manufactured Nutella in
different countries but the texture and richness of
the chocolate was only from Italy where it was
originated. For now, it is the most popular chocolate
spread in the world.

This vegetable and fruit candy was made from


China. We all know that China make any types of
food products. And I think this candy is brought
here in Philippines since Filipinos loves vegetable
and fruits and it made possible as a candy that can
be eaten by children.

This Lux Velvet Glow is from India. Its quality


product with cheaper price makes OFW bought this
as souvenir for their families. Some says that India
made this for setting out to create a richly
fragranced but affordable toilet soap.

Herbal Essences products are made from United


States. I believe this kind of products can only be
seen and manufactured by countries with rich in
herbal ingredients. This made to assure people that
the formulated herbal shampoos have been found
to be not only safer than the chemical shampoos,
but also highly reduce the hair loss during combing
as well as strengthen the hair growth.

I have discovered that the Isana products belong to


the Rossmann group which is present in
Switzerland and sold exclusively by Denner. Mild
hand soap is an excellent product for daily hand
hygiene and care. Switzerland is known for its all
good quality head to toe products.
