Our data collection — Se url lel eel a le ee eRe Ue RU UC cd and families have or are soon moving to Minnesota. Additionally, more than 85% are seeking culturally competent, affirming medical and mental healthcare. Providers of gender-affirming care are reporting waitlists of 200-400 people with wait times for an initial appointment often a year or more. The need for gender-affirming care Far outweighs provider capacity. Minnesota urgently needs to increase access to quality and competent healthcare for trans- Minnesotans and those seeking refuge in our state to uphold the promise of safety and opportunity in Minnesota for LGBTQIA2S+ people. OVERVIEW HF3386 / SF3502 With $1m from the state of Minnesota, PFund Foundation and partners will expand the + Grant-funded job training programs at state's gender-affirming care workforce by Minnesota's top LGBTQ+ care facilities establishing grant-funded training programs at gender-affirming care healthcare facilities. ‘* Wraparound services that improve employment and economic opportunity, Trainees will participate in a PFund-hosted long-term economic self-sufficiency, and cohort to expand learning opportunities, pathways out of poverty deepen knowledge, and create community. Trans Refuge Relocation Data Overview State of Origin A survey was administered by Twin Cities rade Pride and data was collected from several . LGBTQ+ serving organizations in Minnesota between July 1, 2023 and March 6, 2024. The data includes responses from 192 individuals and Families who have or are soon relocating to Minnesota for Trans Refuge purposes. We know that this is not a holistic picture, and there are dozens, if not hundreds, more people not reflected in this survey. The information in this survey can help ensure we Families and individuals supply adequate resources and continue making Minnesota a beacon of hope.
