are seeking culturally competent, affirming medical and mental healthcare.
Providers of gender-affirming care are reporting waitlists of 200-400 people with wait times
for an initial appointment often a year or more. The need for gender-affirming care Far
outweighs provider capacity.
Minnesota urgently needs to increase access to quality and competent healthcare for trans-
Minnesotans and those seeking refuge in our state to uphold the promise of safety and
opportunity in Minnesota for LGBTQIA2S+ people.

state's gender-affirming care workforce by Minnesota's top LGBTQ+ care facilities
establishing grant-funded training programs

data includes responses from 192 individuals
and Families who have or are soon relocating to
Minnesota for Trans Refuge purposes.
We know that this is not a holistic picture,
and there are dozens, if not hundreds, more
people not reflected in this survey. The
information in this survey can help ensure we Families and individuals
supply adequate resources and continue making
