regulating the continued validity of residence permits issued in accordance with Section 24
Paragraph 1 of the Residence Act for persons temporarily entitled to protection from Ukraine
On the basis of Section 99 Paragraph 1 Number 1 of the Residence Act in the version announced on February 25, 2008 (BGBl. I p. 162) in
conjunction with Section 1 Paragraph 2 of the Responsibility Adjustment Act of August 16, 2002 (BGBl. I p. 3165 ) and the organizational decree of
December 8, 2021 (BGBl. I p. 5176), the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community decrees:
§1
Object
This regulation regulates the continued validity of residence permits in accordance with Section 24 paragraph 1 of the Residence Act for foreigners
who entered Germany on or after February 24, 2022 due to the war in Ukraine for the period of validity of the temporary protection in accordance with
Article 4 of Council Directive 2001/55/EC on minimum standards for the granting of temporary protection.
§2
Continued validity of residence permits in accordance with Section 24 Paragraph 1 of the Residence Act
(1) Residence permits in accordance with Section 24 Paragraph 1 of the Residence Act that are valid on February 1, 2024, including their conditions
and additional provisions, remain valid until March 4, 2025 without extension in individual cases.
The continued validity ends with an extension of the residence permit in individual cases or if the residence permit is issued again due to a change in
a condition or additional provision.
(2) The provisions of the Residence Act on terminating the legality of the stay, in particular in accordance with Section 51 of the Residence Act,
and on restrictions on the right of residence remain unaffected. The obligation to present the document in accordance with Section 57a Number 2 of
the Residence Ordinance no longer applies.

(1) This regulation comes into force on the day after promulgation.
(2) This regulation expires on March 4, 2025.
