MULTI-USER INSTALLATION

1. Download the ETP Premium Installer from the My


P&WC Power portal, save it and unzip the downloaded
package. Right click on ETP-Premium.exe it and
choose “Run as administrator”. Then click on Next.

2. Accept the terms and click on Next.

3. Choose Multi user and click on Next.

4. Select Core components and/or Client then click on


Change… to specify a different path for the server
and/or client installation location, respectively. Then
click on Next.

5. Type the path for the etp-library folder. Then click on


Next.
NOTE: Do not use the Change… button.
NOTE: If you already have an etp-library folder from a
previous installation, specify the path here, but make
sure not to included “etp-library”.
NOTE: Upon first launch of the ETP Premium
application v3.3, former library will be restructured and
will no longer be compatible with previous versions of
the ETP Premium application. Should you decide to re-
install a prior version of the ETP Premium application,
the library manuals would have to be downloaded and
added again.

6. Enter your server DNS (or IP address), choose a port


and choose a Librarian Password
NOTE: Do not use localhost on multi-user installations.
NOTE: The Librarian Password is a text-string of your
choosing. It has no other purpose than to allow you –
and all users with whom you share this password – to
access the Librarian functions.
General User functions:

• View manuals,

• View attachments,

• Add & delete shopping lists (can’t purchase).

Librarian functions:

• All the abilities of the General User,

• Add/update/remove manuals,

• Add/remove attachments.

7. Select « Anyone who uses this computer » and click


Install.

8. Configure a proxy if required (usually not required, but


depends on you company’s IT security).

9. Click on Finish.
