An extensive prevalence of smartphone addiction (62.6%) was discovered in a recent study on the relationship between smartphone addiction and health-related quality of life in Filipino adolescents (Buctot, Kim, & Kim, 2020). Smartphones are now practically a part of everyday modern life and can be utilized by people in both consumer and corporate contexts. Any problem can be solved through one touch nowadays. Because of this, they have become necessities of life in the current lifestyle and people can't live without them. The usage of smartphones enables many users, including students, to have high-quality performance and quick access to information and entertainment, including mobile audio and video chats, mobile teleconferencing, sending and receiving emails, and simple internet access. It can also be used for social media and entertainment. It offers many opportunities for amusement and social interaction. As a result, many people, especially students, get dependent on it. This has an impact on their studies, moral principles, and mental and physical health (Raza et al., 2020). This study looked into how smartphone addiction acts as a moderating mechanism. The effects of smartphone addiction on education have been the subject of numerous studies, although the results have been inconsistent.
