2. Describe the physical and chemical changes in rocks due to changes in pressure
and temperature.

A. Content Standards

The origin and environment of formation of common minerals and rocks.

B. Performance Standards

IV. PROCEDURES

A. Preliminary Activities

 Welcome Greetings
 Classroom Management
 Checking of Attendance
 The teacher will review about the formation of magma or magmatism.
 The teacher relates the previous lesson to the present through a picture of the
rock formation.

B. Developmental Activity

 The teacher will let the students read the module about metamorphism.
 Then, the teacher will group the students into 4 and let them do the activity
no.1
 Group 1 will make a yell that is related to metamorphism at least three stanzas.
 Group 2 will make a news base on the given picture about the topic.
 Group 3 will compose a song in any tune about metamorphism. And they will
sing it in front of the class.
 Group 4 will use the word METAMORPHISM as an acronym to represent
words that is related to the topic.
 The group with an outstanding performance in the activity will be given a
reward.

C. ANALYSIS

 Ask the students what they feel about the activity.

 Ask the students about what they have learn about metamorphism base on the
activity.

D. ABSTRACTION

 The teacher will discuss the topic through power point presentation.
 Ask the students their understanding about metamorphism.
 Allowed the students to ask questions about the topic.
 Then, the teacher will facilitate the learners through giving additional
information and correct the misconceptions of the students about the topic.

E. ENRICHMENT/APPLICATION

 The teacher will let the student see a video presentation about metamorphism.
 After the presentation, the teacher will ask the students their understanding
about the video.
 What is the importance of metamorphism in our life?
 Again, the teacher will facilitate the learning.
F. ASSESMENT

 Describe the physical and chemical changes in rocks due to changes in

pressure and temperature.
 What is a metamorphism?

G. Assignment

 Research about the different types of igneous rocks.

V.REMARKS/ REFLECTION

A. No. Of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation

B. No. Of learners who require additional activities for remediation who scored
below 80%

C. Did the remedial lesson work? No. Of learners who have caught up with the
lesson.

D. No. Of learners who continue to require remediation

E. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did these work?
