seeing different kids every day makes it a lot trickier. I need to have more motivators for the students
to be excited for homework and your homework club packet is perfect. I have students who
homeschool three out of five days a week who absolutely need to turn in their completed work. Use

grade team is starting homework this coming year, so this pack will be most helpful. I really
struggled on how to handle it with my kids this year since many of them did not want to turn it in.
As a second grade teacher, I was afraid that parents would revolt, but many were happy to help their
child and were more aware what we were doing in our classroom. We had a great time eating lunch
and listening to music, AND we got to blow bubbles in the classroom. I am curious, do you give all
the homework on Monday for them to complete throughout the week, or is it given out every day.

teacher. I was talking with my coworkers a couple weeks ago. It always amazes me that, in the past 7

really like how you are proposing to use your packet. Also, for the kids who are missing assignments,
when or how are they made up. I have always done my homeroom class but then I have to check in
with other teachers about homework and it gets to be tough making it fair for everyone. However,
this might motivate students to be more responsible for their own work.

make.and well, not any more. I would love to win this and I think it would be great for me to use in
5th grade (since I'm being moved this upcoming year). I have parents sign in each child's homework
folder each night. I would love to have a positive reinforcement to bring in homework. I bet you
have lots of kids turning their homework in each week so they can stay in the club. Don't they ask
you about why they are still on it, if they see their name. This will be a huge incentive for students to

you comment on the fact that non-completed homework is more a symptom of some home situation.
We are told at my campus that we must give homework, I try to limit it to basic practice that can be
completed without help from an adult, spelling practice, math facts, nightly reading. I teach a
combination class of third and fourth grade. I sent home flashcards with each one of them and they
worked extra at home on them. We had a great time eating lunch and listening to music, AND we
