OVERVIEW
• Business ethics are the moral
principles that act as guidelines for the
way a business conducts itself and its
transactions. In many ways, the same
guidelines that individuals use to
conduct themselves in an acceptable
way – in personal and professional
settings – apply to businesses as well.

OVERVIEW
• Besides, Business ethics studies
appropriate business policies and
practices regarding potentially
controversial subjects, including
corporate governance, insider trading,
bribery, discrimination, corporate social
responsibility, fiduciary responsibilities,
and much more. The law often guides
business ethics, but at other times
business ethics provide a basic
guideline that businesses can follow to
gain public approval. 4

OVERVIEW
• As we have known, Business ethics
concerns employees, customers,
society, the environment, shareholders,
and stakeholders. Therefore, every
business should develop ethical
models and practices that guide
employees in their actions and ensure
they prioritize the interests and welfare
of those the company serves.

OBJECTIVES OF SUBJECT
• The module provides knowledge about the importance of studying ethics in
business, helping students to orient the norms, factors that form and model how
to build and manage culture in the business.

• Besides, the focus of the course will help to guide the rules of proper behavior
in economic activities in order to minimize misbehavior.

• In addition, students will develop teamwork skills with a positive, proactive

attitude to better respond to their work.
