ABSTRACT

This study is entitled” The impact of Implementing Orange Lane: An Integrated

Selectivity Process for Releasing Shipment of Customs Brokers at Port of Manila” The aim

of conducting the study is to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the newly

implemented Selectivity Process by the Bureau of Customs, which is the “Orange Lane” to

facilitate the process of shipment for Customs Brokers at the Port of Manila.

The descriptive design and correlational method were used in this

study, which included Thirty (30) respondents who are customs brokers,

declarants, processors, and other individuals who are currently processing or

releasing shipments at the Port of Manila. As a sampling technique, the

researchers used purposive sampling technique. The survey questionnaire was

used by the researchers to collect data via an google form or online survey. Frequency

distribution, Percentage analysis, Mean, Mode, Pearson r and standard deviation were

used to analyze the data.

Since findings reveal that the effectiveness of port operation has strong positive

significant relationship with the application of orange lane base on documentation

procedure, and equipment, the researchers recommend that the Port of Manila should

sustained effectiveness of this level of handling to keep the implementation’s positive

results and for them to be more effective.
