Everyone has an elderly person in his life, either his family or the grandparents,
or they may be their uncle or aunt. we can also meet older adults at our university,
at our work, or during our whole day on the streets. Whether it’s a parent, a
grandparent, a relative, a friend, or perhaps ourselves, the new challenges and
changes that include aging require our flexibility, openness to alter, and acceptance
of a brand-new way of life. rather than specializing in the negatives, we may go
along with our senior years and long-term care (any decline in health, physical
mobility, cognitive ability, and social isolation). There are many ways you'll be
able to do your bit to assist lonely or socially isolated elderly people in your
community.
We should take care of our elders because,
There are many things that we can make to take care of our elders. We will discuss
two ways two of these ways.
Many seniors want someone to talk to. This is especially true if they live in a
nursing home. They don't get nearly as many visitors as they would like, so it's our
responsibility to go. Set aside time each week to visit and talk with the elderly.
This is the most important task and does not take much time. Once you have
allotted some time, make a list of topics to talk to him about. Keep in mind that
they have all lived full lives and have had enough to talk about. Bring a voice
recorder with you if you want to record his/her story for posterity, but be sure to
ask permission to record. In addition, there are a lot of activities that seniors can
participate in, for example: going on a car trip or playing a board game.
Now, we will talk about the second way to help the elder which I think is not a
certain way but I think the difference between it and the first way is that the first
way is voluntary for us on the other hand the second way is mandatory and we
should put that in our minds that what we make to help to help elder is from our
religion and humanity. now, Let's start with physical support, most elder people
have weak bodies so we can help them with transportation by carrying their bags
or by sitting them instead of us or by assisting them to cross the street. Also, we
can make teams (in banks, companies, etc..) only to help elder people to finish
what they want to do in these places and make them like a rest corner in these
places to rest there until one of the team finishes their interests.
Besides volunteers giving, they gain a lot. Volunteers have countless benefits from
helping others. Here are some of the benefits:
