1. Explain what is GitHub?


GitHub, an online platform built upon Git, the renowned version control system, revolutionizes collaborative
web development. With its intuitive interface, GitHub empowers teams to seamlessly coordinate their efforts,
facilitating concurrent modifications to web pages. Its features, like as branching for parallel development, pull
requests for code review, and communication tools like issue tracking and project boards, promote efficient
teamwork. Furthermore, GitHub encourages a strong global developer community by encouraging open-source
project contributions and information exchange. Its interaction with multiple development tools and services
increases efficiency by automating activities. Overall, GitHub acts as a primary center for modern software
development, allowing teams to collaboratively create, share, and maintain high-quality software projects.

2. Explain the procedure of Code sharing on GitHub. Support your answer


with the screenshot of the Code downloading and uploading.

Firstly go to the repository that is already created or if you don’t have repository then create a new repository
Here you will see the option of add files. Click on that option and then create a new folder if you want and then
click on upload file option to upload files into that folder of repository
Now if you want to download the code or file then click on code button it will show you the option of download
files as a zip or another way of downloading files is to copy the https link and open the cmd and type curl
<repo link> or wget <repo link >

3. Explain the GitHub Code of Conduct.


The GitHub Code of Conduct establishes norms for behavior within the GitHub community in order to
promote inclusivity and respect. It forbids discrimination, harassment, and disruptive conduct. It focuses on
inclusive language, respectful communication, collaborative interaction, responsible tool use, and reporting
mechanisms for breaches. Violations can result in warnings, suspensions, or bans. Adhering to the Code of
Conduct creates a positive and inviting environment for all participants.
