V21 – PC ASSEMBLY
1. OBJECTIVE
The aim of this contest is to allow the contestants to demonstrate their technical
competence in assembling a personal desktop computer (PC) using the components and
software provided.

3. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Request for replacement due to a defective product or missing part will be accepted
only prior to the contest.
Contestants who have damaged any part or made any part unusable shall notify the
organizer. Such part will be replaced to enable the contestant to continue the work.
However, the replacement shall be subject to deduction of marks.
1. After loading the default setting set the date and time.
2. Disable the serial port.
3. Disable the Ethernet port.
4. Create BIOS password
5. Change the booting order as specified below before installing the OS.
· DVD Drive
· Hard Disk
6. Create 3 partitions in the Hard Disk
7. Connect to Wi-Fi
8. Setup Network Printer & Print a test page.

present the same to the Judges for approval
5. WORK ENVIRONMENT
All the components will be placed on tables. In case of a special working condition
requirement, the same should be indicated twenty four hours prior to the contest.
