Overview
The concept for the video follows a teenager who acts like a much younger child; the video follows his day with the all the typical activities he does, i.e. wake up, school, dinner etc. With this there will be other people in the background moving faster than he is, which gives the effect that he is slower than the other people, there will be an underlying reason to his mental age and throughout the video there will be small hints to what happened, which will create the drama for the viewers.

Style
There will be two main locations in the video the teenagers home, and school, the background will be moving around the main character, with him in the centre most of the time as a still. Throughout the video there are subtle hints to which shows his mental age, such as the clothes he will be wearing, such as pyjamas with childrens cartoons on them, and then the same sort of clothing for sixth form. Also things such as a childish toothbrush and hair brush will be used at the beginning to give the viewers an instant idea of what he is like. The colour schemes will be quite bright throughout, but then at the end when the underlying reasons to his problems are given a reason to why they have happened, this will be in black and white as it will show a flashback of the past events. The camera movement will be quite smooth and the editing style will be an instant change from scene to scene giving quite a choppy effect as it is only the background that moves. Location: house and school Wardrobe: mainly childrens clothes for the main character, but everyone else in the video will be in normal clothes. Props: childrens toys, childrens toothbrush etc Makeup: no makeup will be visible in the video, but it will be used for a better visual appeal of the actors.

Concept
The video will be a concept video with some narrative as it will have references to the lyrics, it will be aimed at the a wide target audience ranging from teenagers to people in the 40s, so anyone who may be interested in the electro pop genre of music. The video will be set out as a linear story, as a normal day of a teenager, as stated below in the table. This will be set out so that the background will allow the audience to see what activity it is from the background, but the difference is that it is only the background that will be moving, it will be moving around the teenager who will be stood still, this will be produced by overlapping two film clips, in which on will have the main character as a still, and the other will have the other characters moving around and will be sped up when overlapped. This is to give the effect that the world is moving faster than he is and so everything happens around him. The video will show that the teenager has a younger mental age and so that will allow then audience to see that he is much slower than the world around him, and throughout the video there will be small hints to why he has a younger mental age, and then in the last scene there will be a much bigger hint, in which there will be a wall of family photos from over the years, and this will show around 5 photos in frames hung up on a wall, starting of as the whole family, including the mother, and then after the second the mother will not be in any more of the photos, and so the audience should be able to guess that this is the reason to his problems.

Summary
To summarise, the concept of this video is to be quite a serious video, but will a comic factor that will lighten the mood of the video, to match the fun mood of the song. The audience will be left on an enigma through the whole video, wondering why he is like the way he is, and then they will get the answer at the end, which will add up all of the clues left in the video.
