User Guide for Members and General Users
Introduction
This document will provide a guided tour through the LRO.
The LRO is a system designed to:
• Assist Recording Officials while new members are in process of initial status correction
• Assist Recording Officials in recording documents
• Document publishing
• State Nationals/Citizens with Credential Cards and Credential verification service
• Allow for payment of specific fees or donations
• Integration with Sign In America training courses, including purchasing courses
Home page
https://members.americanstatenationals.us/
Recording Officials and Members may login by clicking the correct login button at the
top of this page:
“Recording Officials” on far left.
“Members” on the far right.
In the field above the button, enter one of the following for the member:
• Full Name
• Email Address
• Master Record Number
• Private ID
Then click
Notes:
The field is case insensitive (upper and lower case characters are considered the same).
If the field contains a space it is considered to be a name (“first last”, “first middle last”, “first “, “ last”, “ middle”).
Partial names match. i.e.: “chris ” will match “Chris”, “Christian”, “Christopher”, “Christal”, etc.
If the field contains a “@” it is considered to be an Email Address.
If the field length is 5-7 characters it is considered to be a Private ID.
Otherwise it is considered to be a Master Record Number.
Example:
Enter “John Doe” (sample record) then click
The member record will be displayed below the button.
The different sections help organize the display of the record contents.
Here are some samples of the confidential fields in the Contact and Document tabs.
(Notice the data in confidential fields is presented by the first few and last few characters with an elipses
between them and confidential documents are not allowed to be viewed/downloaded)
More item options are available for members who are logged-in. See the section Fees –
logged-in for more details.
*There is a Payment History section which is presented only while logged-in as a member.
Select an item from the popup, enter the fee, quantity, and optional comment.
Notes:
• The “Add” button will not be displayed until the added row has an item selected or the row is
removed.
• Some items have predefined fees. Those items will auto-populate the Fee field.
• Fees for Recording and Publishing are determined by your State/County. Please consult your Recording
Official for the correct fee.
• The Credential Card item is available only when the member has recorded/published the
minimum documents required to obtain a Credential Card.
• Some items may be added only once while other items allow adding multiple times.
Continue adding item rows for each item you wish to pay for.
Click the button to enter payment details and complete the payment.
Sites
The ASN Business Directory site (still under development) provides a venue for ASN
businesses to make known their presence to other ASN’s. At this time there is concern
that some businesses might become targets of non-ASN persons/entities so portions of
the site are restricted to ASN’s only. Currently the LRO provides the only means to
integrate known ASN’s into this site.
Note:
Currently this is an experimental feature with regard to location. In future the content of this tab might
be presented in another format or location either on or off the member record page.
For the Born field you must use the date picker so that the data field is properly
formatted.
Note: It is easiest to select the month and day of your birth then click the 4-digit year and type the digits of your
birth year.
Forgot Password
On the home page, click the button at the top of the page.
When the member login page is presented click the “Forgot your Password?” link.
Enter the email address associated with your LRO member record.
An email with an authorization code will be sent to this email address. This
authorization code can then be copied/pasted into the authorization code field
presented on the page.
Optionally, you may click the link in the email, which will open a new browser window
with the authorization code submitted.
Notes:
• The Authorization Code must be entered (or the link clicked) within 30 minutes of the email being sent
otherwise it becomes invalid.
• If you do not submit a new password at the last step then your password will not change. Such as:
◦ Aborting the process because you remember the password. -OR-
◦ Someone attempts to change your password without your permission.
Member Login
On the home page, click the button at the top of the page.
Enter your email address (the one in your member record) and your member account
password then click the button.
While logged-in you will not be able to view any record except your own and you may:
• View complete data or download documents in confidential fields of the tab..
After login, a page with a condensed version of your record will be presented.
While logged-in as a member you may edit all fields under the Contact tab.
Under the Membership tab you may change your password or update your picture and
fingerprint.
Note: Once your Credential Card has been printed, you may not change the picture or fingerprint images without
contacting your Recording Official.
Full Record
While viewing the condensed member record, click the button to access your
complete member record.
The Full Record view provides addition tabs of “Documents” and “Contribute”.
The tab is where all your LRO published documents are located. While logged-
in you may click on any of the documents to download or view the document
(depending on your browser’s configuration).
The tab is where you can specify which roles in your Assembly that you are
willing to perform as well as what skills you have acquired and are willing to use for
your Assembly.
(You, the member, are the only one who is allowed to make changes to the Willing and Abilities checkboxes)
Courses
This section of the member record will list all courses that are available to the member
which have been integrated, to some degree, between the LRO and the Sign In America
(SIA) training site.
It also displays the member’s status regarding each course and provides a button or
link to purchase or proceed with the course.
Use the action button or link on the right side of the course to interact with the course.
Notes:
• This page will automatically find your account on the SIA-Training site if the email address used
on that site is the same as your LRO member email address.
• If unable to locate your account on the SIA-Training site (or you don’t have an account) then the
Action button will be “Purchase” instead of “Continue”
When the LRO can not locate an account on the SIA site with the same email address
as that on the LRO member record, it will provide a button to direct you to
the SIA create account page.
Notes:
• If you do have an account on the SIA site that uses a different email address, you can
temporarily change your LRO email address, under the Contact tab, to the same as that used on
SIA account (don’t forget to click Save button), or change your SIA email address to the same as
your LRO account.
• When your LRO member page reloads it should then locate your SIA account and that account
will be linked to your LRO account. (Look for the green “Status” header to verify account linked)
• Once the LRO finds your SIA account, you may then change your LRO email address to whatever
you like.
• Once LRO has linked your SIA account to your LRO member account, the Status header text will
be displayed in green.
The following table lists the current status indicators/links/buttons. (color scheme
subject to change)

Contact 1-2-3
Contact 1-2-3 is a component of the LRO that provides the ability for your state/county
officials to send various informational email through what are called Engagements.
Some Engagements are configured to send email to people who have LRO member
accounts but have not yet corrected their political status.
Others may be intended to send regular meeting notices to LRO members who live
within the borders of a specific state or county.
This tab gives you, the member, the ability to join or un-join any Engagement you wish.
The Join checkbox allows you to manually join or un-join an Engagement regardless of
whether you “qualify” by any conditions configured within the Engagement.
Essentially it is an override which you, the member, control.
All email sent for all Engagements include an “optout” link at the bottom of the email.
The Optout column indicates whether you had clicked that “optout” link.
The Name and Description columns display the Engagement name and description.
Next Step is the next step number and date that the Engagement will send and email
to you. An Engagement can have any number of steps.
Fees – logged-in
This tab lists your payment history (payments made using your LRO member account)
and provides ability to pay fees for specific items.
Select an item from the popup, enter the Fee, Quantity, and optional
comment.
