tegies for starting and maintaining conversations and discussions. They understand and ident
ify the main idea and relevant details of the discussion or presentation on topics close to you
ng people's lives. They use English to convey opinions on issues close to young people's live
s and to discuss interests. They give opinions and make comparisons. They use elements no
n-verbal such as body language, speed of speech, and tone of voice to be understood in some
contexts.

Learning objectives:

The learning objectives of this module are:

1. Identify the context, main idea and detailed information of descriptive, recount, proce
dural, expository and narrative texts presented in multimodal form.
2. Communicate simple ideas and opinions deeply various discussion activities, collabo
rative activities and presentations.
3. Write descriptive, recount, procedural, expository and other texts Narrative uses text
organization structure and features proper linguistics, and present it.

1. Producing oral descriptive text and written descriptive text multimodal about great athlete
s according to context and goals to be achieved.

goals to be achieved.

Initial Activities (15 Minutes)

The first meeting


1. Prepare students
2. Open with greetings and pray to start the lesson
3. Checking student attendance
4. The teacher shows pictures of outstanding athletes
in certain sports. In the Student Book provided
examples of images of athletes from Badminton (Figure 1.2), Wall Climbing (Figure 1.
3), Weight Lifting (Figure 1.4), and Football (Figure 1.5). Teachers are advised to provi
de images of athletes and sports that are different from those in

1. The teacher asks students to sort things in groups important things that an athlete must h
ave based on the words in the table.
2. The teacher asks students to convey the results of the discussion them and the reasons fo

1. The teacher tells the students that they will listen to audio recordings about outstanding at
hletes who worldwide.
2. The teacher guides students to study the statement in the table to determine its correspond
ence to the record audio about an accomplished athlete to be heard.
3. The teacher listens to an audio recording about someone outstanding athlete.

Final Activity (15 Minutes)


1. The teacher asks students to look at a picture of a person outstanding athlete.
2. The teacher asks students to write down the information they have they know and the infor
mation they want to know more about the athlete in the picture, in the box that has been prov
ided.
3. The teacher checks the sentences made by the students in the box that have been provide
d and revise them with the participants educate when necessary.

1. The teacher explains that students need to reflect on what they have learned.
2. The teacher explains that the reflection they are doing not only is it important to them but i
t is also important for teachers because student reflection provides a picture for the teacher of
