Criterion 9
Criterion 9
Industrial linkages play a crucial role in the success of any educational program. They not only
facilitate the employment of fresh graduates but also enable the curriculum to be regularly
updated to align with industry demands. Furthermore, students benefit greatly from engagement
with the industry through various means such as industrial visits, internships, and projects. To
ensure effective industrial linkages, the LGU has established dedicated offices and bodies with
specific responsibilities in this area. These entities aim to foster collaboration between academia
and industry, facilitate industry-driven research, and provide guidance and support to students
seeking industry exposure. Through these initiatives, students are better prepared for the job
market, and educational programs are better aligned with the evolving needs of the industry.
The department of CS conducts IAB meetings on regular basis once per semester (Hard copies
of the IAB meetings held can be provided on demand).
The focal person writes to the IAB members for a possible date and timings.
• After finalizing date and timing, the department intimates the same to the faculty
members.
• An IAB meeting is held on campus venue as per schedule.
• During the IAB meeting, minutes are noted and are circulated to the faculty members as
well as to the industry members.
• The progress of actions suggested in the previous IAB meetings are presented as an
agenda point.
• Further new suggestion by IAB is noted as new suggested action.
• A DBS is held to discuss the follow ups and their recommendations, suggestions and
action recommended by to the industry.

9.3 Formal mechanism for seeking feedback from the Industry and its analysis
for the attainment of PEOs.
A proper mechanism is in place through which feedback is collected from the industry, where
the industry can be from the IAB members and other industries linked directly with the CS
curriculum. Later, an analysis is performed, and corrective measures are taken periodically.
Organogram of a formal mechanism for seeking feedback is discussed in Criteria 1. A Process
to evaluate the Attainment of PEOs is described in Figure 9-4.

9.4 KPIs for PEO Analysis and Related Assessment Tools
Criteria 1 provides a detailed overview of the mechanisms and Program Educational Outcomes
(PEOs).
➢ Annual alumni surveys are conducted regularly, and the data is analyzed to identify areas
for improvement in our processes.
➢ Both employers and alumni are encouraged to participate in surveys to provide valuable
feedback on whether the program objectives are being achieved.
➢ We organize Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) meetings to gather insights from industry
representatives, which helps us refine our curriculum to meet industry needs.
➢ Open house events are held annually, providing industry representatives with opportunities
to offer feedback on final-year projects and conduct interviews with graduating students
for potential employment.
➢ A yearly analysis is conducted, and any suggested enhancements are discussed within
relevant departments and subsequently integrated into our program.
PEO-1: To introduce technology-oriented courses, facilitate research, promote new business ideas,

Within the Job Placement Bureau, a central Industrial Linkages Officer (ILO) holds a pivotal position. This
central ILO acts as a vital intermediary, bridging the gap between the industry and the Job Placement
Bureau, and facilitating communication and collaboration with external ILOs.
Key responsibilities of the central ILO include establishing and nurturing robust connections between the
industry and the Job Placement Bureau. This involves organizing and promoting various activities such as
conferences, seminars, recruitment drives, and industrial visits, all aimed at enriching the educational and
professional experiences of students within the Job Placement Bureau. Through effective coordination of
these initiatives, the central ILO ensures that students of the Job Placement Bureau have ample
opportunities to engage with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights and practical experience in
their respective fields.
The Internship Feedback Form is a crucial resource for employers to assess and evaluate students
who have completed internships within their organizations. Through this form, employers can
provide constructive feedback on various aspects of the intern's performance, including their skills,
work ethic, communication abilities, and overall contribution to the workplace. By completing the
Employer Feedback Form (Annex-9E), employers can share insights and observations regarding
the intern's strengths and areas for improvement. This structured framework enables the
educational institution and the student to glean valuable insights, thereby enhancing the
effectiveness of the internship program.
