Poster 1

This poster summarizes a study on attitudes toward spanking and corporal punishment. Survey results found that the majority of respondents believed spanking leads to better behavior and would use it in child rearing. Specifically, figures showed that respondents under age 21 were most likely to agree with spanking, and those who agreed with spanking also reported no trouble with police as adults. The hypothesis that most respondents approve of spanking as an effective discipline technique was supported by the findings.
