JOB STEPS POTENTIAL HAZARDS CRITICAL ACTIONS
1. Contact Customer Site Establish any safety training required in advance
2. Establish Inspection Time. Confirm date and time of lube survey
3. Review Inspection personnel and Material Confirm manpower requirements from plant personnel, ExxonMobil and distributor. Bring required Locks for
Requirements, Lock Out-Tag Out (LO-TO) Process LO-TO if equipment is de-energized. Determine who has previous valid site orientation documentation.
Determine suitable transportation for travel to, during and off site. Assign responsibility to prepare any
supplements to the vehicle safety kit (eg extra food, water, clothing, blankets etc). Review weather
conditions. Establish any safety training that may be required prior to entering the site (First Aid, H2S, TDG,
CPR, AED, Orientation etc.). Obtain pre-approval for camera / photographs. Determine additional safety
requirements for vehicles - buggy whips, radio, etc.

4. At Security/Customer Entrance point, study the Request plant map. Be aware of exit routes. Know location of eye wash stations, shower facilities,
plant layout and familiarize with access/exit points at respirators and other safety equipment. Identify first aid treatment area. Identify areas that limit access. Do
various locations. Check where we go. (Discuss and not enter areas with Red barricade Tape and use extreme caution if entering a area with yellow barricade
confirm emergency response) tape after asking plant personnel why the tape is there and is it safe to proceed. Confirm emergency
telephone numbers. Sign visitor sheet if applicable. Secure XOM property not to be used out of site in the
trunk of the car.

5. Drive on to site and park Vehicles - plant/public (especially Follow traffic signage, call ahead for directions, follow Smith defensive driving, drive cautiously, park in safe
fork trucks) location. Turn Head lights on. Establish eye contact with operators of large heavy equipment before
proceeding. Be aware of wind sock location and wind direction.

Pedestrians Follow Smith System, avoid pedestrian areas
