1. Description
This document describes how to configure the DCN on HUB site (the TN site connected
to SP directly).

Include the Basic NE, LAG, LAN-DCN, DCN-VLAN and WAN port configure.

2. Hub TN DCN Configure Diagram

1
3. Basic NE
Configure the NE Name, NE Host Address, NE Host Subnet Mask, Default Gateway

Base on the Patch4_CircleSWR_New LLD_08092015_PA21.xls, ML DCN sheet.

(Now the newest version is PA21.)

If the Subnet in LLD Design is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/28 the Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.240.

If the Subnet in LLD Design is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/29 the Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.248.

Right Click TN-244044->Configure->Basic NE

2
4. Ethernet Switch Mode
Configure the Switch Mode to Provider Mode (802.1ad)

Right click Ethernet Switch->General

3
5. LAN-DCN Configure
Right Click the LAN-DCN 1/11/7 -> Configure, set Unused the LAN-DCN port first and save.

Assign the LAN-DCN port with a bridge Port. (The example we used Port 10)

Right click LAN-DCN 1/11/7 -> Configure

4
Configure the Bridge Port 10 (which is assign to LAN-DCN port.)

Port Role should be CN-UNI.

Right click Switch Port 10 ->Configure

5
6. LAG Configure
Configure the LAG which is connected to SP directly.

(At the example we used LAN 1/11/6 and LAN 1/11/7.)

(Please Note: Here LAN 1/11/7 is different with LAN-DCN 1/11/7)

Assign the LAN 1/11/6 with a bridge Port. (At the example we used Port 1)

Right Click LAN 1/11/6 -> Configure

6
Configure the Bridge Port 1 (which is assign to LAN 1/11/6 port.)

Port Role should be I-NNI(PN).

Right Click Switch Port 1 -> configure

7
Assign the LAN 1/11/7 with a bridge Port. (At the example we used Port 11)

(Please Note: Here LAN 1/11/7 is different with LAN-DCN 1/11/7)

Right clikc LAN 1/11/7 -> Configure

8
Configure the Bridge Port 11 (which is assign to LAN 1/11/7 port.)

Port Role should be I-NNI(PN).

Right click Switch Port 11 -> Configure

Create a LAG port and bound into LAN 1/11/6 and LAN 1/11/7.

Here the Master Port is 1/11/6 the Member port is 1/11/7

Right click Ethernet Switch->Configure->LAG

9
1. Add LAG

2. Add LAN 1/11/6 as Master Port

3. Add LAN 1/11/7 as Member Port

10
7. WAN Configure
Configure the WAN port which toward to below site. (At the example here is RL-IME
1/11/100 connected to below TN site, it will create a WAN port WAN 1/11/100)

If only one packet Link assign the RL-IME choose Singe Mode.

If two Packet Links assign to RL-IME choose Radio Link Bonding Mode.

(Please note, only the RL-IME in front, have bonding mode. If you find your RL-IME can’t
bonding, don’t create two wan ports to replace. Please choose the RL-IME in front and try
again.)

(For 6P, NPU3D only RL-IME 1/7/100 and RL-IME 1/7/101 can do the bonding configure, 20P
NPU1C RL-IME 1/11/100 ~RL-IME 1/11/107 can)

Right click RL-IME 1/11/100->Configure

If below assigned only one Packet Link, choose Single Mode

If below assigned one more Packet Link, choose Bonding Mode

Below is the example of RL-IMEs, some can bonding, some can’t.

11
Assign the WAN 1/11/100 with a bridge Port. (The example we used Port 2)

Right click WAN 1/11/100 -> Configure ->General

Configure the Bridge Port 2 (which is assign to WAN 1/11/100 port.)

Port Role should be I-NNI(PN).

Right click Switch Port 2 –> Configure

12
8. DCN VLAN
Configure the DCN_VLAN

Right click Ethernet Switch->Configure->VLAN

The example here is DCN_VLAN 600

Add the LAG1 – LAN 1/11/6 port, Switch Port 2 WAN 1/11/100 port and Switch Port 10 LAN-
DCN port.

Untagged the Switch Port 10 LAN-DCN port.

13
1. Add VLAN

2. Change the VLAN ID to 600,

and create a VLAN Name

3. Add the Ports/Member.

At the example add

LAG1-LAN 1/11/6,
Switch Port2 –WAN 1/11/100,
Switch Port 10 LAN-DCN

4. Untagged the Switch Port 10 LAN-DCN
