The Effectiveness of Doing Homework To The Students
The Effectiveness of Doing Homework To The Students
I. INTRODUCTION
In a school year, students experience a 9 month period of going to school to learn new
lessons, and teachers teach students for a whole school year. Teachers provide activities for
knowledge of what they have learned from the discussion of their teacher. According to the
researchers observation, teachers provide different types of homework that can consume time.
chores, but due to the task given by the teachers, it is difficult for the students to balance their
time. That is why this survey aims to determine how effective doing homework is for
students and does doing assignments at home really stressful for students or not.
II. METHODOLOGY
The researchers from the grade 8 Science conducted the survey about The
Effectiveness of Doing Homework to the Students’ Academic Performance. In this study, the
researchers determined on how homework affects the academic performance of the students.
The survey was conducted at Baybay National High School, from different classrooms with
randomized selected participants. The researchers conducted the survey during April 11,12,
and 18 2024. Due to the announcement by the Department of Education about the distance
learning of the students to compile their different outputs, the date of the researchers to
conduct the survey was delayed. The researchers conducted the survey by doing simple
random sampling. In identifying the different sections, the researchers pick by randomization
in gathering all the different sections and the researches will only choose 5 different sections
on where the researchers will conduct the survey. After identifying the sections, the
researches goes to their assigned classroom to ask the class record so that the researchers will
depend on the class record in selecting. In picking the randomize participants, the researchers
prepare a numbers from 1-40 because it is the maximum number of students in the school,
and in choosing the participants researchers will pick random numbers and will count it from
the class record of each section. The two selected participants will answer the survey of the
researchers.

During Survey
Conclusion
Overall survey, the researchers examined the different experiences of students when
the teachers assign them homework if it is suitable for them or not. The researchers
concluded that homework can make students stressed and homework can cause high grades.
Recommendations
As a young researcher, one of the alternative solution that can be suggested is to have
time management. Doing time management as a young learner it makes the young learner be
prepared in the future. When doing homeworks, the students must clear their schedule
especially in household chores before they will answer so that their would not be complex on
their time. Providing homeworks to the students is a good idea to identify on how the learners
