For High Performance Computing & Human Computer Interface Centre of Excellence
Preamble
The overall vision of the research lab is to provide research opportunities in the fields of HCI and HBI, striving to unlock
the full potential of human-machine interactions and cognitive augmentation. Through rigorous scientific inquiry, we
aim to contribute to the development of novel technologies, therapeutic interventions, and ethical frameworks that
harness the power of the human mind.
The laboratory will be equipped with the latest technologies, including EEG and fNIRS systems for real-time brainwave
monitoring, eye-tracking devices for studying visual attention, and virtual reality headsets to immerse participants in
simulated environments. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) devices enable us
to explore the boundaries of neuroplasticity and direct brain-machine communication. Motion capture systems, haptic
feedback devices, and neuromorphic computing hardware further enrich our capabilities.
