TASK4 Analytics Chart
TASK4 Analytics Chart
Problem Statement:
Create analytics charts based on ABC/XYZ Segmentation and create drill down on different
levels. And add all the analytics charts to the dashboards.
Solution Approach:
A. Introduction
ABC/XYZ segmentation is a method used for inventory management and categorization in
supply chain planning. In SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), ABC/XYZ segmentation is
often utilized to classify products based on their demand patterns, sales values, or other
relevant criteria. This segmentation helps in optimizing inventory strategies and supply
chain planning
Segmentation
- Classifying products into variability and importance
- Depending on any criteria like profit, revenue, no of items sold you define product
importance
- Coefficient of variability = standard deviation/mean of the time series
ABC Analysis
During ABC analysis, systems assigns each object one of the following indicators:
A- The most value, or given number of objects that produce the greatest value
B- Less value, or given number of objects that produce the less value
C- The least value, or given number of objects that produce the least value
XYZ Analysis
X- Very little variation
Y- Some variation
Z- The most Variation
B. Prerequisite
1. Created two customer, two locations
2. Created some products
3. In excel add in, taken value against actuals qty
C. Solution Approach
1. Created ABC/XYZ Segmentation Profile
2. In Excel Add-in, check for past data maintained
DRILL DOWN
Context
You can create relationships between your charts, which allow you to drill down further into
your data. When you click a level in your chart, that level becomes the filter for the next
chart. For example, if your chart shows the Consensus Demand Plan Quantity for customers
1 and 2, you could drill down into customer 1 to show the Consensus Demand Plan
Quantity or any other key figure by location for that customer.
When you create a drilldown, you can pass all or a subset of group by attributes. Also, when
you create a chart, the selected filters are carried over to the drilldown chart by default, but
you can change them.
If you have multiple versions/scenarios selected for a chart, and you select a value for only
one version, then click Drill Down, the created drilldown will contain that value from both
versions/scenarios filtered in the original chart, since the versions are part of the filters. If
you want the drilldown path to contain data from only one version/scenario, you can delete
the other version/scenario from the filter for that drilldown chart. Filters can be added and
deleted from each drilldown chart at any level.
Procedure
3. In edit mode, click one or more values in the chart, then click the Drill Down icon.
4. From the Select Drilldown Path pop up, create a new path.
6. Optionally, select Cascade Filters to carry the ad-hoc and planning filter values to the
next level charts. When you enter any other filter other than the external filter
attributes, it cascades over to next level. For more information, see example below.
7. Choose OK.
A temporary chart displays with the selected data from the root chart.
8. Modify the current level chart by adding or removing key figures, group by
attributes, or changing the chart type. You can also change the level chart as needed.
9. If you want to drill down again, choose additional data points and click Drill Down.
Repeat the process of choosing attributes and modifying charts as many times as
needed.
