Lesson: Unit 10 Staying healthy – Speaking (grade 6 – basic edition).
Description of class:
 English level: pre – intermediate
 Number of students : 20
 Characteristic: The majority of students are shy and passive, some are smart and active.
 Teaching time: 45 minutes.
I. AIMS:
(Speaking) This lesson aims to help students to:
 (Knowledge) know how to ask about how people feel and what people would like.
 (Language) Learn new vocabulary items which are relevant to the listening section. Furthermore, they
know a new type of question.
 (Skill) Improve their pronunciation and speaking skill.

II. RECENTWORK:
 Students have finished Unit 9.

III. APPROACHING AND TEACHING AIDS:


 Grammar Translation methods and Communicative Approach.
 Blackboard, textbooks, chalks, pictures, speakers.

IV. ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:


 Technical problems (Teacher must come to class early to check the audio system in order to avoid
problems while teaching).
 Students may not have difficult in listening to repeat the sentence. (Teacher should pause the tape/ the
audio file after the sentence includes them).
 Some students are too tired or they do not pay attention to the lecture. (Teacher must arouse the
students’ interests at the beginning of the lesson.
